I have the thule fork mount racks. I prefer it for rigidity but it would be nice to not have to remove the front wheel.

Would post a picture but the engine driving it seems to be incapable of handling a simple jpeg

We don’t have bikes currently, but we still have the rack… it‘s a hitch mounted Yakima Double Down (for two bikes). We’ve had it thru at least 3 different trucks (20 years).

1up hitch rack. Or a tailgate pad. The 1up has been fantastic. Made in the USA too. They make single, double and expandable to 4 trays.

1UP USA hitch rack. Bike wheels stay on. Only contact between bike and rack are the bike tires. Stable. Been using for over a decade now. All metal made in America product. Priced in range of other good alternatives.
Cons are: kind of heavy, release latch to angle the rack platform wonky.
Some review site posted a hitch rack article within the last month or so.

1UP looks like a good move. Super stout. My only reservation regarding hitch mount is tailgate access. I run a bed cover and voodoo rack for my rtt so side access to the bed is none. Im starting to think I may need to re evaluate the configuration...

I have a super duty 1up rack and a rakattach swing away hitch mount to access tailgate. I recently used this on a 500mile camping trip and worked great. I did add a hitch stabilizer ($12) from Harbor freight for added stiffness/remove movement.

I've never had a bike rack, I always just toss them in bed. I've also never had a pretty bike

Thule T2 two bike, hitch mount and swings out of the way of the tailgate when needed, expands to fill the receiver, no stabilizer is needed. No problems with it, hauled around 700 miles.
