If you order from Gupton Motors Springfield, Tn they will lock the price in.

That's good to know for next time whenever that may be. It's certainly a question I'll remember to ask when I'm shopping around next time. I like dealing with my local dealer if possible, but if I choose to order and there's no price lock then I'll keep looking. Gupton sounds like a great dealer from the multiple praises all over this forum.

It’s going to depend on the dealer. Tri-City out of Eden gave me firm quotes (5%/6%/7% Under Invoice) in writing. I also get all rebates available to me at time of delivery. My price excludes TT&L, dealer fees (but they told me what they charge), and trade-in (also given a written range of value). I did have to give them a $1000 non-refundable deposit, which i considered a small price to pay for the price guarantees. I’m as certain as I’m gonna be purchasing, so the non-refundable part did not concern me.

I have seen anecdotally on this forum where members were allowed to order, and standard bs negotiations had to be made at delivery, but deposits were either refundable or not required. I’m sure others have had/seen different actions from other dealers, as I don’t think there is a standard practice.

This is my first time ever (30+ years) buying a custom ordered vehicle. I don’t know if it can be this easy (Tri-City way) with other brands/manufacturer, but I won’t be using the old-fashioned way in the future.

Same same with Tri-City. Finally got the window sticker Friday the 18th of Feb 22---88 days after ordering it on 22 Oct 21. Really happy for the price guarantee. No idea when it will get shipped. Hope Travis can find out.
