Our dedicated Garmin RV GPS is better than the one built into the 8.4" Uconnect 4. Route finding, updating, menus, features, etc
Google maps, or Waze is too.

Been lucky so far. Overland. Ordered 5/19, delivered 7/19.

Haven't upgraded to Nav system (yet) because it's, so far, always gotten me to where I wanted to go.

Love my heated seats...use all year round because it really relaxes the lower back...and occasionally the heated steering wheel on the coldest days of winter.

The one thing that doesn't work okay is the heating system in winter. I set the cabin temp at 69 degrees and after a mile of driving, I'm nearly burning my wrists because the heat coming out of the vents could roast a Turkey. I have it set on bi-level but for some reason the sensor is VERY slow to respond. I had it checked the first winter I had her and was told that it's working perfectly...just takes time to catch up. Well, time is generally at least half an hour of getting roasted. I turn the heat back when that happens then when I get cold, turn it back up. After an hour, it pretty much behaves. My only complaint.

Shopping for a used Gladiator, leaning towards a Mojave or Rubicon. I am finding that these seem to be tech loaded (blind spot, auto pilot cruise, heated seats/steering wheels, tech packages, etc. etc). I have found a few that also have zero options (outside what comes on the base Mojave/Rubicon).

Are you finding these tech packages to be reliable or not worth it? I would love a heated steering wheel, but could take or leave the rest.

What are your real world component and system failures? Looking for this to be a reliable daily and travel rig for a while.
My backup camera doesn't work 30% of the time. I have all sorts of radio glitches. Parking sensors seem good. Adaptive cruise is pretty good. My issues are with the backup camera and it really sucks because this thing is a boat and it went out twice at soccer park and almost hit a kid.

I do not have the blind spot or adaptive. I do have the front and rear cameras, Alpine, etc. that came with the Rubicon in 2022.
I have not had one issue with the radio, whether CarPlay or XM or anything. Cameras always work, etc.
The last update I had was at least 2 years ago and I am not sure they changed anything on the "radio".

My 2023 JL tech/radio was very reliable. My 2024 Gladiator has not been. I have also not gone to the dealership because I know they will tell me they couldn't recreate it. Maybe when I take it in to fix the fire recall, I will have them look at it.

2023 Rubicon diesel with no tech problems. I would like the heated steering wheel to be warmer on max setting. Only warranty repair was sway bar disconnect switch replaced.

2024 .... with only 18k ...so I'm too new yet (knock on wood).
It could be my imagination OR it's on purpose... When I adjust my lumbar or any one of those airbags in the seat... I swear, they deflate (or reset) after you shut the truck off.
I don't know if this is on purpose or not....???

The Apple Car Play (wireless) can get a little funky sometimes. Sometimes S L O W to get hooked up to the phone. I'll be a mile down the road before it decides to start playing anything. My husband and I have both our phones setup .... sometimes the jeep doesn't know what phone to attach to (again, did I mention its S L O W). We've gotten better at making sure one of us gets in the truck before the other, as to not confuse it. 🤣
Sometimes the music will play all herky jerky... IF I reboot my phone, that'll fix it.

Everything else has been good - knock on wood!! We love the adaptive cruise.... We don't use it around town, but we've had several long trips with it. Gotta love the heated steering wheel & seats too!

Now my heated steering wheel is amazingly warm, but living in a desert it is rarely needed.
