It’s a jks front track bar but has a jam nut and a collar sleeve. I can not find directions anywhere.. I lossened up the sleeve bolt and started loosening the jam but (on the vehicle) the nut is on a screw turning inside the sleeve of the bar but both ends are stationary?

not sure if I’mfustrated or what but the physics of this make no sense lol.

can’t don’t this track bar anywhere online. Drivers side tire sticks out 1/2 further than passengers side so should have been a simple adjustment.

Loosen the bolt on the sleeve, tighten (turn clock wise) the sleeve nut.

In your picture it is ran all the way in. The threads are on the shiny end that bolts to the frame.

Looks to me like the sort you have to take the right end loose from the axle and turn the right end - the silver end in the picture, in or our to shorten or lengthen the bar.
Some bars you have to take one end loose, some you don't from what I recall of them.
I suspect this is the type that requires to unbolt the right end from the axle, and turn that end into or out of the sleeve or main part of the bar.

Makes sense!

my chart says 34in for a 3 in lift however is that measured from eye/bolt hole to bolt hole? Also if the drivers side is outfurther does the track bar need to go out or in?
Both ways to me sounds like could make it worse.

Man…. ?? it’s been a fun day in the driveway for you.

Are you sure you have a JKS track bar?

Only reason I am asking is their site shows ONLY a jam nut. Not a jam nut and a pinch connection.
https://jksmfg.com/collections/glad...ustable-track-bar-wrangler-jl-and-gladitor-jt

I would say whatever track bar you have is not going to work for you… there are no threads shown to the passenger side (silver side) remaining to shorten the shaft.

If your tire is poking passenger side you need to shorten the shaft.

Synergy has been around for a long time.

Their track bars can be adjusted without having to undo anything, or do anything crazy.

There are a lot of GOOD companies out there- I have experience with synergy on several jeeps… their track bars hold up well and are suuuper easy to adjust.

Maybe order one, and post yours up for sale? It appears to be for a larger lift since you have it maxed out (shortness wise).

Shortening the track bar pulls it to the drivers side.

Lengthening the track bar pushes it to the passenger side.

The length on charts are measured eye to eye / bolt to bolt.

Note!!! If you are jacking up the jeep at all to make adjustments… you will need to settle the suspension by driving it forward backward a couple feet after making adjustment to see where your change settles.

Charts are only "this may be kind of close, start with this" because a 3" lift on your truck may be a 3.5 or 4" lift on mine.
It's not a given or a concrete number.

Lengthening the bar is going to make your problem worse.

Shortening will bring the axle back towards the drivers side. ?

This is what is odd I feel like it was already in as far as it will go in. No one can say it’s the wrong track bar but this bar came with the lift kit.

If the driver side tire is sticking out. You have to lengthen the bar.

Drop the frame mount end of the bar. Screw it out about a 1/4". Reinstall the bar. Recheck your measurement. If ok. Tighten the pinch bolt.

Here your instructions.

People do make mistakes and put the wrong stuff in orders and packages. (S#### grammar there) I know. Being a weekend not a good time to talk with them to find out if it's possible the wrong one. Years ago I got released from duty got home installed lift kit on XJ went to test drive I had death wobbly kick in after driving about 35-40 miles it took me few hours to get back home. Pulled that kit back off put the old kit back in. Showered changed in to P.T. uniform went to P.T. already beaten down. Something was wrong in the kit, contacted company had correct parts sent then re-did the installation. So stuff happens.
In general I've been lucky most of the time on stuff but when it's been wrong it's really been wrong. The cheap J. C. Whitney Rough County "3 in. lift kit" was a plug and go deal that was actually a 4.5 in lift after installing. The kit I took off and ended up putting back in. It might have been the track bar with it too, I'm not quite sure it was 20 some years ago.
