Completely understand your POV. In the situation of this post, I think cooling compromise would be better benefitted by installing a winch instead of intake obstructing mad max bolt-on. I made this post in jest, I am sure this young person, looked to be early 20s is very proud of his ride and it is his “style”. Like another poster said, to each their own,
i am poking fun at the stereo type, why I did not use the picture with him in it.

Niw that cuckaratcha Truck thing in the parking lot, look like a parts store vomited it up. That person needs some serious “style” counseling. I get nauseous just looking at it.

It's their Jeep and their money. Who cares. My Gladiator will never have mud tires, never have the top off and will never be "mudded" for the heck of it. I got rear springs coming to lower the rear end!!! When the stock Brigestone Dueler H/T's wear out, I'm putting on Michelin LTX M/S2's. Might not wait that long if I could get a good trade-in on my tires. To each their own my friends....Live and Let Live.

you COULD argue it helps deflect branches and debris on the trail....but restricting your vision like it does far outweighs any good you might think comes from that ugly contraption.

Will never understand the top never coming off of a jeep thing and yes to each his own. I have a neighbor who has had a jeep for many years and same has never removed the top, even in some fantastic top off weather but guess its not for everyone.

I was just thinking that... Street tires, lowering the rear, never removing the top, and probably never using 4x4 (given the other choices)... Then why at that point even buy a Gladiator or Wrangler?

But, It’s his money and his vehicle, he can do what he wants... No matter how much it negates the functionality and intentionally-designed purpose of it.

I'm always puzzled by people who install lift kits and huge wheel/tire combos, then bolt on side steps that hang down 18". Any attempt at actual off-roading would result in constantly being hung up on those steps.

I've got something like this but its more because wife and daughter have hard time getting into the Jeep. Plus I am in the deep south so for me its sand running and some offroad trails in the Sam Houston forest for the most part the next couple years. But contemplating a move after the daughter is out of high school (2 years) and Colordo Springs we liked when we visited there also North Carolina but who knows. If I get around more rock crawling I will certainly change them out. I like the electric one's but man they are costly,

This is so true! on top of that, we have like NO legal wheeling areas. We always have to go outta state. Couldn't really use your Jeep if you wanted to...

Im getting something like that because after I lifted it I can't get inside without jumping, or dragging my ass off the seat to get out lol. But I don't actually "off road". My lift is more for looks and "adventure ready". I like to explore and sometimes I go places I wouldn't try if I didn't think I had enough clearance.
