This morning I was just making a quick run to Home Depot and got T-boned by a Mustang that ran through a stop sign.
It’s a new intersection that recently opened up to cross traffic where it used to dead end for the direction the Mustang was traveling. For some reason they decided to make only their road stop both directions and the road I was traveling doesn’t stop at all.
I was traveling about 55mph in a 55mph zone. The Mustang blew through their stop sign assuming it was a 4 way stop for some reason he said(still doesn’t make sense why he didn’t stop) and I took a direct hit in the front driver side wheel. Cosmetically it doesn’t look too bad. The wheel and tire are damaged as is the fender, end of the front bumper and the Go Rhino side steps. Looking closer though the axle appears to have been pushed to the passenger side and the front wheel is obviously cambered out a lot. No idea on what the damage is until I get it to the repair shop tomorrow morning. The hit and my head hit the b-pillar on impact, but no airbags deployed.
His Mustang looks totaled though and his airbags did deploy. I was able to drive it home roughly a mile or so, but it pulls to the right and the steering wheel is about 90* off driving straight.
