Lots of information here already….. but personally… the SEARCH on this forum is horrible (or I haven’t mastered how to use it). When I’m searching - I use Google and will put “gladiator forum” as part of the search.

For example: I’ll type in google …. “wheels gladiator forum”

To start, open your wallet, and tell your money goodbye, and be ok with that. Just Empty Every Pocket.

Agree On the search function, and I use Google search as you noted…much easier to find target posts and saves on unnecessary questions to the group…

I’ve built a ton of Jeeps, and this is a common mistake I have seen made by new jeep owners…they get on Amazon and the more popular parts outlets and start replacing parts….often using a debt via a credit card. A better strategy is to be realistic about the purpose for your jeep, start reading and then decide on the key changes. For example, not everyone NEEDS a $5,000 lift with King bypass shocks (I’ve done these for rigs that will do extreme trails), when spacers and maybe correction brackets will do everything they want in their jeep.

Same for new wheels. The stock wheels will work for those 35 and 37 inch tires, and a couple a washers under the steering stops (or just replace the stop bolt with a normal bolt with a nut) and the rubbing while turning gets eliminated….you just saved $3500 on wheels.

No issue with someone wanting to make their rig look cool like a Sema rig, but as you noted, this is going to take money. A better strategy is to be deliberate with the upgrades and read, read, read…get a Jeep education first…your savings account will thank you.

Well I guess I'll answer your question.

You don't need to do anything. Buy the 35s. That's all you need to do. They might rub a little? Probably won't. Just roll with it...no pun intended.

Most people do a leveling kit and tires. If your truck came without max tow, your gears are 3.73, meaning that 33" tires is a big as want to go. For a 1.5" leveling kit you may want an ajustable track bar if you are not OK with the axle shifting to one side. You can dial back caster by getting the extended Mopar lower control arms. What ever you do, please don't install one of those angry face grills.

Congrats on your new jeep and welcome to the forum. Lots of good advice here, especially when most of us have been there and done that. Take a moment and figure out what is the purpose of this ride. Are you going to be offroading alot? What is the terrain around where you live. The winter can be brutal there so make sure you have excellent all terrain tires. Take it slow in deciding upgrades.

First thing, open your wallet and dump all the $$$$ out. Or open your banking app to see what you have. I would suggest if you must have 35” tires, keep your stock alloy wheels and get the narrower tires you can find at 35”. Like 35/10.50-17 that’s still heavy and will rob power and mileage and require heavy duty shocks to last. Or make a compromise and go with 255/80-17 @ 33.1”. That will be lighter than all but stock and take less power to spin up. Or affect highway mileage. The wide 35” tires won’t get 20 mpg highway. Good luck.

Get you some larger tires and then start looking at it in a tasteful way when you start adding things, there are 100s of things to work with just don't make it look like a mall truck 😵😵😵😵

First things first before you buy anything ...
1. Is this your only vehicle (if NO go to 2, if YES move to 3)
2. is this your Daily driver (if NO move to 4, if YES move to 3)
3. Can you afford the down time of it being apart and finding out you don't have tools or something doesn't fit. (if YES move to 4, if NO DON'T move on, don't be stupid, leave it alone and wait till you have a second vehicle and more skills or funds become available)
4. Have a Plan Ask yourself, "What do I plan on doing with it?" Is this going to be a Mall crawler, weekend warrior w/ light trails, dedicated rock crawler or maybe a dune runner
It gets old real fast, driving a vehicle built to go rock crawling and DD'd to work with a commute. Just as an open/open spacer lift bling wheel mall is not going to work well crawling on the rocks.

You can narrow down to just this site by adding site:jeepgladiatorforum.com, like this "wheels site:jeepgladiatorforum.com"
