That Bikini color was close to the old Gladiator teal green 1966.

And, it's not "just a color". It's an expression of personality and character, much like the clothing you'd choose to wear if you were going to a job interview. Contrary to the old popular phrase, the cover of a book is precisely supposed to let you know what's on the inside. Paint colors on a vehicle should match the mission and purpose of that vehicle. Bikini Pearl is what you'd expect to see at Victoria's Secret, not a Jeep dealership.

Have you seen the colors available for the Gladiator at launch? Red, grey, white, black... blah. For the record I have an Extreme Purple Wrangler and a Mojito Green Wrangler, in addition to a red Wrangler and a 2004 Willy model. This isn't 1952 anymore. Funky colors beat drab colors any day! Me, I like green and blue, so anything close to teal is fine by me. I'd rather someone look at me and think "He's a weirdo" than "He's just another muggle" any day of the week. For the record, I'm 53.
Oh, and how do you know what the inside of Victoria's Secret looks like? (That was a joke. Keep your pantyhose on.)

I have ordered and owned two late model RAM 2500 trucks. Those extra colors offered are mainly for fleet buyers and if you notice, most of those colors are geared towards landscaping and construction utility customers. Also, it is not uncommon for some those extra colors to add an additional 2 - 6 extra months on a order to arrive as they have to wait until a certain amount of orders for a specific color to queue up before they build them.

99% of the time, you will never see those colors on a dealer lot unless they were a cancelled customer order as even dealers will not order them most times for regular inventory because they are slow movers dues to being non standard colors.

That color should come with a care package that has three bottles of nail polish, hair clips, a thong, and a bottle of Jeep fragrance.

There's no way FCA will use that on a pickup truck. A sheet of plywood would jump out of the bed and commit suicide.

Maybe that one will not be intended for plywood, but rather, some other activity.

I was a little hesitant about it, until I saw it in person....I can’t wait to get it naked..I’ll post pics for all to drool.

I think it would look fantastic with tan interior and a tan top.....just make sure to have painted fenders, as I think the black fenders with tan top and seats would clash.

If you've seen the JL production line videos, only the frame is run through the paint room. Doors, grilles, fenders, and color match tops come from storage racks (and painted elsewhere). Think the logistics of handling more than a dozen or so colors for a given model year could be a challenge. Probably a similar reason they don't drop all of the JT colors on day 1. Build a whole bunch of parts in 4 colors, then swap to other colors later.

They still to this day. Do not paint under the hood hinges...
