Back to the respect thing, it is no fun being blasted by a Jeep hauling 45mph on a dusty road and getting a face full of dust. Speaking from experience there.

I slow down and move over for Mountain Bikers and pull over and shut off my engine for Horse riders. They still hate me.

I’d say you ran into a few assholes that think they’re the shit because they’ve already taken delivery of their Broncos. Not a Ford or Bronco related issue, it’s a trying-to-make-up-for-my-internal-misery-and-shortcomings issue. Right now they are probably online searching for the next new thing. We ordered a 2 door bronco for the wife and are patiently awaiting its arrival, and will have that and the Gladiator. Like others have stated, I’ve also seen this amongst other Jeepers, in the motorcycle world, and the hot rod world too. Boils down to the person. A lot of assholes out there think it’s their world and everyone else is just living in it. BTW, If I had a dollar for every JL/JT/JK/CJ/etc. that was being a dick while I rode with my wife in her Mini Cooper, I probably could’ve paid cash for my gladiator.

that will be an awesome mix.....gladiator and 2 door Bronco.
I have to admit the 2 door bronco base is a steal even at MSRP....you get hard top, power, AC....its equivalent to a Sport S hardtop for a few thousand less and the auto is a cheaper option and the 2 door bronco is a lot bigger than a 2 door wrangler. 4 door base bronco with Sasquatch is really nice and priced considerably less than a JLUR too.

I love that the competition is there as this will nudge jeep to improve and get more people into the segment

Agreed- everyone wins when there’s healthy competition. We are looking forward to having the JT and bronco- it took me a while to convince her to go for the Bronco, since she’s been a loyal Mini owner for 15 years. It probably doesn’t hurt that she takes my Rubicon for a spin every so often. Cant wait to compare the two.

My brother in law was seriously considering the Bronco but in the end he got a TACO as he needed a truck and for some reason he has a love of the Toyota's. He got a nice truck though

I always slow way down when there is anyone along the trail (except maybe a Bronco?) . It’s just the right thing to do. And what’s the big rush anyway?

Good for him! If we all drove the same thing, this would a boring place.I have 4wd buddies that love Toyota’s and won’t buy anything else.

How's the skills training going? Worth it?

Is the new Bronco an update of the old bronco? Seems like jeep truck is a carry on from previous jeeps...

Those are all preproduction models. Production started this week on dealer demo models and early May will kick off production of reserved Broncos. The very first ones Will be delivered in late June.

Correct. We actually got a call from the dealer and set up a time to see a dealer demo mode on Tuesday.

Seriously considering renouncing my citizenship and moving to Portugal. America is lost.
The grass may seem greener, but there will most likely be other issues wherever you live. My formative years were in Washtington DC, with high school and college in Long Beach California. I have lived in Quebec for 4 years, Argentina 1 year, the country of Utah for 5 (probably one of the most foreign thinking places one can live) and now British Columbia for 10 and Arizona for 2. No place is perfect. Taking a measured and mature approach to ignorance not only makes you feel better, but helps enlighten whatever world you choose to live in.

One gets plenty of practice, “taking a measured and mature approach” these days.

Wife and I were wheeling around Behind the Rocks dunes today with our skills training group. Bronco team and their ride alongs were there all day. As we were heading out onto trail, we were cordial and let a group of Bronco “passengers” go by. As they were going by our group, they were all giving us the finger.

If that is the type of buyer buying the Bronco, I’m glad we ditched our Fords for Jeep only. Waiting another 2 years to get their toys must be starting to grate on them.

Had a great trail day and tackled some really good obstacles.
Well, because the Bronco has been hyped up for so long as the Jeep slayer, it was only destiny that the Jeep haters go out and buy one just because it's not a Jeep. And then go places where Jeeps are most likely to be and try and prove their point (whatever that may be). Those are the same ones that gave you the middle finger. Probably also the same ones with a squatted truck in the backyard!

Spot on. It was pretty cool to see. As the week went on and more Jeep peeps were arriving, the more Broncos appeared out of the woodwork. They were in the street ....on street corners on display ......10+ or more running around the dunes at any given time. Hugggge display over at Dixie with the Jeep expo. Competition was and is good.

One huge fail on my part in getting a video was when the Jeep guys said enough at the dunes ....they brought out a herd of 392s and were ripping all around the Broncos and baby Broncos.

They sounded Sooooooooooooo good. ??

I've heard Wrangler drivers giving Gladiator drivers the finger. Happens with m/c riders too. Harley riders flipping off import riders. Assholes are not brand specific.
That's do do. I'm on my 5th Jeep and it's a JT because it made sense to keep my work boots and tools out of the passenger space.
I'm on my 4th Harley and we wave to all riders even if their motorcycle was put together with chop sticks.
As for Broncos, well they aren't Jeeps so no wave. Have a good day
