The AEV Vertical tire rack where the tire sits upright at the back of the bed so it doesn't take up a whole lot of room. This does look like an awesome solution. It would be easier to mount it and roll out if you ever need it. I believe it will accept up to a 42" tire.

DV8 has one that looks very similar to what you posted originally, and it fits up to a 42” tire according to the website

Sorry, but I am easily confused.

If you are running huge tires and the mods that come with that... Wy would one be concerned will drilling a few more holes?
