Incoming calls and texts on CarPlay no sound

Not sure if this is update related, but I just noticed no sound for incoming calls or texts. iPhone . Otherwise I have had no problems with my radio or any of it's functions. Did the update for no reason I guess..
Anyone else have this issue?

Yeah.. I had same issue. Had to turn up my volume at same times as notifications were coming though

Same issue but my problems appeared after the latest over the air update to fix the rear view camera issue.

Yep. Same issue after radio update over the weekend. Message comes in on CarPlay and I don't hear a thing at normal radio volume (10-12).

I am not going to take my jeep to a dealer to have them mess it up even more. When y'all have a new OTA update for the screwup previous OTA update, please let us know. Not shooting the messenger, but after my steering debacle and this, I am better off doing things myself. Unfortunately, I am unable to do the electronics, so will have to rely on y'all for this.

EDIT: My radio was working properly prior to the OTA update, wish I could go back to the previous version.

Happened to me after the OTA update. Make a call while using CarPlay and adjust the volume while on the call to set Siri's volume. Worked for me.

Yeah, I’m with y’all. No ringer or text notifications for me. I do have my phone ringer switch silenced though, and haven’t tried it with the ringer on...

This has come up several times with various sections. Due to how the system controls volume, the radio volume is separate from Android Assistant and Airplay volumes. and call volumes. When you are using ANY function (Hey Google, Siri, etc) you have a separate volume control that shows in red when you adjust it. You can make your radio really loud and Siri softer volume. It's a good feature, but not well documented. Just crank up the volume when you don't hear anything and you will see the new volume control.

I would recommend checking the volume controls on your phone. While your phone is connected via Apple CarPlay please turn up your volume on your phone via the hard buttons on the side. If that does not resolve your concern please feel free to send us a private message.
