Thanks for everyone's input. I went with the Lange Coyote mirrors. Will update after I use them, hoping not too long from now I'll have a few dry days to be able to.
They're what I've been using and I've been very happy with them! I've been up to ~90mph with them (Downhill with a strong tailwind of course), and they were stable the whole time. Easy to put on and take off too, the bracket stays on and you just pop them in place. Not to mention the convex mirrors, covers blind spots very well. Overall, I prefer them to the factory mirrors!

I went with a pair of scooter mirrors from autozone for $15 as a quick fix until I decided on something permanent. Fit perfect in place of a cowl screw. A little small but they stay tight with hardly any vibration, so I never bought anything else.

I really want to try and report back on the coyote Lange mirrors but we've had the worst stretches of weather to take doors off you could imagine.

I know you said inexpensive, but I am ordering these bracket as soon as I verify the ones from my JK won't work with modifications. The are rock solid and sit right at the same height as the stock mirrors do. I will probably just get the brackets and source my own replacement mirrors from PartsGeek or the like.

thanks so much for that link those are just what i’ve been searching for ordering now!

I had cheapos and didn't like the vibration. I upgraded to jpeggz.

Be careful when putting the doors back on. It's easy to make scratches. I added these door pin guides:

Also, be real careful putting the wiring into the harness. I bent some pins recently and it doesn't recognize the door is on.

I took the grab bars off and drilled holes for 1/4 20 rivet nuts to be installed. Then some 5" round convex spot mirrors I got for my TJ screwed into the nutserts. When running doors I throw a pair of black painted bolts into the holes to hide them. I may buy a set of the square / rectangle to better match the lines of the JT later on or go crazy and get some Harley or street rod mirrors!

I haven't ran any on the JT yet but when I decide to do it I'll do what I did on the JKU

A little Velcro and small mirrors from AutoZone, cost me about $8 total and works great.

Since that's mounted to the inside, does it meet legal requirements? I know most states require at least one exterior mirror. I like the idea though. I have a hard time reaching my Rugged Ridge passenger mirror to adjust when doors are off.

I turned a few highway patrol guys with jeeps on to doing like this and a few sheriff's i know with jeeps. Not sure how legal or not legal it is but that are running it like that on theirs.

I'm not sure which one right off hand. The ones I got were adjustable left to right though so you could kinda adjust them to you liking. They worked great for me, i got a lot of comments from people in other jeeps who saw them. It turned into a trend for a lot of guys locally, I still see people running them.
Adjustable by it being thicker on one side? Is it 3-3/4"?
Looks bigger than vent, which is good as I need bigger. Blind Spot Mirror - Find the Right Part at the Right Price | AutoZone
