I also had to remove them to adjust, absolute oversight by their engineering team, but luckily my only big complaint besides the passenger light wire rubbing on the air box.

If you have a winch, it makes it all that much more of a chore as it's near impossible to remove the grill without first removing/loosening the winch, and both of those gotta go before you can get the lights out. I honestly can't believe they shipped them out like that fully knowing the issues.

That all being said, they've worked flawlessly since Install and still glad I went with them.

These Elite Series headlights come pre-aimed left/right from the factory. These should not be adjusted.

The only adjustments required are the up/down aiming of the Elite Series headlamps.

I just installed a set this past weekend on a 2018 Jeep JL and noticed the low-beam projectors needed to be raised.

It's rather simple in my experience to pull the lamps out of the bucket, use the included headlight key, raise the beam a little bit, resit them in place, check the aiming, and remove them again until aligned properly.

Once they were properly aimed as referenced in our YouTube video, you can re-install the (3) 10mm bolts, snap the grille back in place, and pop back in the grille clips.

I think the problem is that the "standard" for nearly all headlights is to be able to aim them after they're bolted to the vehicle. The DD Elites are not, and it's not communicated well ahead of time in any instructions or many review videos of them (I watched as many of them as I could before install), so it comes as a surprise and hassle to users, especially if they reinstall their grill and winch after they bolt the lights in before realizing they have to tear everything back apart to be able to again remove them to re-aim them (my experience). Even going through the fender liners (as your linked video states to do) doesn't work well as there's still the air box on the passenger side and miscellaneous vehicle guts on the driver side that both block nearly all usable space behind the Elite headlight.

Obviously it's just a one time hassle until you get them aimed right, but it would bar FAR easier and much more normal if the adjusters were reachable once bolted to the vehicle, and I really don't know that this is debatable. Again, I love the lights post install, but the adjusters seem very much like an afterthought.

Of course, we understand the inconvenience of aiming these lamps compared to other options on the market. However, once they're aimed you're rocking the highest-performance lamps on the market!

We truly appreciate your feedback as stated before, our team has noted implementing revisions to the housing for future improvements along with feedback from many other users over the past few months.

Overall, thank you all for your continued support for Diode Dynamics US Manufacturing as we strive to provide the latest and greatest in aftermarket automotive lighting!

I love the lights post install, but just like the previous posts, I wish they were easier to adjust post installation. Proper alignment for mine is a little higher than I would like, but I am avoiding jumping down that rabbit hole because of all the necessary steps just to get to that point.

By the way. The warranty on these is awesome and their personnel have all been fantastic to deal with. Credit where it's due!

I’m struggling to get my driver side as high as I would like. It seems like the adjustment for that light is way different than the passenger side. I need to pull them out again and try re-aiming.

Make sure it isn't broken/popped out. I pre-ordered the Elite Max and got one of the first runs (I think), and one of mine was not adjustable at all...seems like the adjustment screw disconnected from the reflector housing.

As far as adjusting while installed...yea, it's a bear. I had similar feedback/comments. The driver side is possible to adjust while installed...the passenger side requires removing the entire airbox to adjust. I also don't like the pressure it puts on the wires/harness. The quality and performance is top-notch, it's just some minor (imo) design flaws that keep it from a 10/10.

I got creative last night and found that a 1/4" drive ratchet with a 5/32 socket does the trick without having to remove them. It made the adjustment simple.
Thanks, heading to Harbor Freight tonight!!!

Got sidetracked and never made it in to get the socket. My lights are aligned well but I’m aimed a bit lower than I would like right now because my driver is at the limit of the up adjustment. The passenger has a lot of room to move. I don’t think the adjuster screw is disconnected or anything as I can adjust it down and then back up just fine.

I need to reach out to @Diode Dynamics support to see if should be exchanging the driver side light.

My driver side adjuster also was not working correctly, they replaced it within a couple days ?

Iam thinking I would pass on buying a headlight that needed to be removed and re-installed to adjust, especially if the connector wasn't designed right as well and was rubbing another engine component.
