Installed New Harbor Freight Badland Bumper Winch

i ran in on the frame and up past the EHPS pump and on up.

Although on my 2020 I did NOT move the cable but simply "massaged" it and clamped it forward away from the grill, for my 2022, I decided to relocate the cable. Toughest part was inside the box, getting the sharper angle inside, but not horribly tough, either.

Drilled a hole, used a grommet for new cable location -

Sealed old, rear old, with a sold grommet (I keep an assortment of those on hand anyway)

Super clean job !! Thanks for the pics that helps and the routing location. I had limited time like 1.5 hrs. The next day to do it looked for 30 min. Scratched my head for 10 min. And gave up ?
I gotta work all week .. hopefully can get it done this coming Saturday. I will post a pic when I get it accomplished .

Bumper spacers only help if the winch plate/mount is part of the bumper.
Otherwise the spacers prevent the bumper from hitting the winch.
I noticed my bulldog winch plate gives just a bit more clearance for things than my prior mount did.
Oddly, I didn't have a real issue with the Apex winch cable, but did opt to relocate it out the end this time. I wanted to be able to more easily remove the grill if I wanted to........ glad I did because I had to remove it to get the plow harness in place.

How much room do you have between the winch and grill? From this angle it looks like it would be difficult to get the clips out on the bottom. I routed my wires out the side but I am worried I’ll have to remove everything if I need to remove the grill.
