I have a '23 Mojave, at night, the footwell lights are on. They will dim with the dash lights, but never go off....anyone experience this? In my jl they go off with the interior lights when you close the door.

They stay on. But you can dim or turn them off with the dial next to the interior lights dim.

And you may be able to program them do turn off with the doors, not sure. Check in your settings on the head unit.

I can dim them with the dial(along with the dash) but they won't go out completely....I'll dig more in the head unit and see if I missed something

I have 2 dials on my 21 Mojvae, one controls ALL interior dimming, the other controls only the footwells.

Yeah they removed one of those dials for model years after '21. Cost savings I suppose, my '21 JL has 2 as well

And this isn’t based on the proximity of the keyfob?

nope, when I'm driving at night I can see my feet, it dims as the dome light goes out but doesn't go completely out.

Remove the bulbs and keep a small flashlight handy? ;-)

in all seriousness, it could be a safety thing; as in the case where something falls/rolls under a pedal at night, you can see which way to kick the object so that you can regain control of the pedals.

lol no way - all while jacking the price up $10k. It's a Jeep thing I guess.
Except they didn't. My 2022 (9/22) has 2 dials.
