Low temps overnight in the high teens to low 20s. Parking outside. Occasional (maybe once or twice a winter) low temps below zero.

In MN, the last couple of winters that I have had it my truck sits outside at work during negatives with no issues. I hit the remote start as I walk towards it at the end of my day, wait for it to idle down once I'm inside and go on about my day. It has never once struggled or not started.

Another MN resident here . . . block warmers are almost universal in northern MN where I grew up. Even some hotels would have outlets for them. Move to central MN and you almost never see them. I never had problems until you get colder than -10F or so. At -30F oil is pretty thick . . .

In NYS here, i don't have a block heater on mine. No issues. I certainly understand the theory but mine starts without issue. The heat and ac in my 2020 JT also come to temp quickly and actually work better than those in my wife's Kia.i know some deisrls need it, but i have never had an issue with a gas motor.

you are still talking warm winter weather .... for only below zero nights would I consider it when I had a Diesel

My 23 Overland didn't come with one, but I did add one later (someone was selling a NIB "kit" from MOPAR). I almost never use it - and we do get down to -40C on some rare occasions.

IF I do use it, it's typically when it's -30C or colder for a few days.

0W-20 to 5W-30 are rated to -30*F so you should be fine.

That's warm to us.
High of 18 (F) tomorrow, low of minus 7 (F) tonight.
I don't really consider anything in the 20 to upper teens as very cold.
We've had times where the daytime high was MINUS 20 degrees for a full week.

So to me, the temps talked about in most of these threads is - what are people worried about..........
If you can crank over a 390 at minus 20 or so with 10w40, these are absolutely NO issue at all.
