My question is do these sales popup around certain time of the year? I'm in the same boat as the original author and won't have funds really available until n

Thank you for the reply. I realize it's open-ended and as you saw clearly I'm still in the research phase. But 15% off MSRP is kind of amazing right now. Hmmm, maybe I'm answering my own question.

Hope this helps your decision. With Jeep's current discount offerings, I purchased a brand new, 2023 Gladiator Mojave and a new 2023 Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve as Stellantis was giving 10% off of each. The 15% is only for lower trim models of Gladiators. Given the2024 normal price increase, added to the ~$1000 that will be added for the new deal with union, I see the 2023s as a much buy. I voted with my own money.

As mentioned before, the Gladiator is more than just a pickup. It's a Jeep with removable roof. Act fast as many people are purchasing the leftover 2023s.

No, this is rare. But typically, discounts are more with anything on leftovers when the new models are hitting showroom floors.

Jeeps are not the best handling on-road vehicles
That part won't be an issue. My DD is a lifted Frontier (which goes back to my son in a year, hence my car search) and my other car is a Sprinter-based RV. Neither of those will be a threat at Lime Rock. As for MPG the Nissan only gets above 16 when driving 65 on a highway.

Thank you to all who've taken the time to reply. If the incentives do dry-up today I'll have missed out. If not, I'll be going to my local dealers once I confirm their inventory.

Awesome bunch of people on this board - looking forward to sticking around.

Welcome. Since you're still in the research phase, you'll no doubt keep digging into posts on this forum, but if you hadn't already spent time on YouTube, then dig in there too. Try searching for trims (Sport, Overland, Rubicon, Mojave, etc) and 1 year review or comparison, etc. There is certainly no right or wrong Jeep on its face, but if value is import to you (uh, it is for me) then you might be money ahead if you begin with the end of your future modifications and desired use in mind before you make your selection. For Instance, if you want a 'Sport S Max Tow Package', 'Rubicon', 'Mojave, etc. you'll likely find it a tremendous value picking the trim closest to your use case in terms of modification costs, warranty and a more objective 'book' resale value. However, if you're looking to ultimately building you own off roader with 37" or > tires you're already likely looking at a re-gear and suspension mods, so you might be money ahead to start with a Sport / Sport S and just build it your way.

Also, consider this board a great source for insider information that you'll likely not get at the dealership. For instance, the '23 Gladiator was recently available to order in Punk'n Metallic Clear Coat which was a limited availability release at the end of the '23 Glad. model year. So, if you had cared to know about it or wanted to order one you'd likely have found that information here first before your dealership or sales rep would have known to tell you if you hadn't known to ask them what colors were available to order. Now, the upside is that if you're interested in that color, there may be some final '23's working their way through the supply chain as Jeep employees return to the plants. Here is a link to a Punk'n Metallic thread which was brought back to life on Aug 14, 2023: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/punkn-gladiator-jt-club.8493/page-70

As well, one additional tidbit I can share is this. Factory incentives tend to run for a fiscal month (if the month ends on a weekend, then the end of the fiscal month is held open until the following Monday to complete all the sales paperwork for the prior month's last weekend). However, when a month closes I've often seen the first business day of the following month has many or all of the incentives walked back to zero. Then, depending on the what the manufacturer has to move through the zone, supply lines, factory, etc. the mfg will either re-post the prior month's incentives or make changes as they see fit to lower or increase incentives across various trims. Keep in mind, this is all done through the factory reps based on how much money they're allowed to move inventory with incentives. Also, keep in mind, it also seem that it can take as long as a couple weeks for them to add or increase incentives and they usually get better towards the end of the month and not worse. Btw, I've never worked at a dealership, I've just paid really close attention for years and had some insider feedback say that I was on the right track.

As for your timing, I think you're in good shape with a few caveats. 1.) There has been a lot of data out there that suggest there are a lot of '23 gladiators that need to clear the supply line. 2.) As well, consider that the '24 Glad is being refreshed, but my money is on a big price increase coming with that and it seems that there is a good percentage of people who are underwhelmed with the updates to the '24. For instance, the full float rear axle wasn't added and I think many ( me included) would have thought that would have been a nice to have. Also, there is only ONE engine choice in '24 as the diesel is no longer available and no new options are on the table. Now, I'm fine with the 3.6, but if I had a choice for a 5.7, I'd have ordered 5.7 just because. However, all that to say that I think there are a lot of people that will be real happy with a '23 vs. '24 in spite of a mild refresh given what may be a considerable difference in price for just a few new perks that many aren't that enamored with. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on the '24, especially if it would be for the same money, but it won't. So, by my way of thinking, a discounted '23 vs a price increased '24 with a modest refresh speaks volumes to me!

So, if you don't close your deal tomorrow, don't be surprised if the "FACTORY INCENTIVE" available tomorrow disappears on November 1st. However, if it does, my guess is that chances are good that some incentives will be back if you consider that they ran incentives while the plant was actually closed down. That's gotta mean that there was a lot of product they needed to clear. However, eventually they will clear it, so just make sure you find a seat before the music stops.

Cheers!
Wow, thank you for ALL that info! Punk'n Metallic Clear Coat isn't my type, but it looks great on others' Jeeps! I'd love to find a Gladiator in Earl Clear Coat, but those apparently came and went quickly.

Welcome OP!
As others have said the Gladiator is more than just a mid size pick up. If you haven’t already driven one let me suggest that you do. It is very different than your Nissan.

In general, the best time to buy is the end of the quarter. So in this case mid to end of December. Or end of March, June etc. I expect the deals to get better through the end of the year but the selection may be less.

Good luck in whatever you decide to buy!

Yeah this was my feeling and I really hate buying new of the lot. I rather buy used. I do love the factory extended warranty on new jeeps.

Think of this as new vehicle at slightly high used Jeep price. As the prices go higher, resale may follow.

A friend of mine is a car salesman. He has told me on more than one occasion how often people will pay more for a used car than they could buy it for new on the other side of the lot.
We are in that situation with Gladiators right now. Jump on whatever 23 is left that fits your needs. I did.

Happy to help. Buying a car can certainly be hectic but I somehow find it a good bit of fun when everything comes together! By they way, I really didn't want to seemingly hi-jack your post with anything more than a share of a few bits of info that seemed relevant. Since you found some value in that, I'm happy to share a link to an 'auto enthusiast' focused YouTube channel I started a while back which certainly has a Jeep focus even if it isn't 100% Jeep. Anyways, it's sorta 'a just for fun' thing now with a little bit of self torture for me to try to seamlessly edit out my oh so many extra um's, uhh's, but's and other gaffes. So, it might be an aid if you'd find something new in it.

By the way, what was your experience with the Frontier Pro 4x like?

Cheers!

Subscribed to your channel - and that color on your Gladiator looks fantastic!
The Frontier has been a great truck. It's a 2012 I bought new in '11 (think I paid $25k... wow.) About 4 years later I gave it to my son as a gift for something special he achieved. Now he's overseas for three years and I get to babysit the truck while he's away. He put on the 5" lift (I'm not a fan). The Pro-4X from the factory is a great off-roader. I didn't do rock-crawling with it, but plenty of forest trails, beaches and the like have gone under that truck. My son did some desert-running with it before the lift. I think the Frontier is a better overall truck than other mid-sizers, including Tacos. I leave Gladiators out of that list because I believe they are in a class of their own. Reliability-wise it has been rock solid. The 4.0 V-6 has plenty of power, though not a drag racer. It used to average about 18 MPG, it's down to around 15.5 MPG with the extra 5".

There are a couple things that you should note
You will almost guarantee get a leaky back window. Not sure why Jeep can't figure this out....
If you go with a manual, there is a recall that Jeep hasn't figured out yet....
There is an issue with the diesel that Jeep can't seem to figure out....

Now, with that said, I live in FL and just kind of deal with the leaky back window. I have no intentions on trading it. I really do enjoy how it drives with all windows down, as well as the freedom tops off.
I also have a manual and so far mine hasn't caught fire, but I've also come across speculation this might be people who tow a lot or ride the clutch a bit too much (probably wrong, don't trust idiots like me on the internet).
It seems the auto trans is pretty solid, so that is good to know.
It seems the 3.6l engine is also solid, and I have high hopes mine lasts many many miles.
I've also noticed that I don't have any weird noises that some vehicles get with a few years under their belt. It does seem like it was built pretty solid, even the interior, which is kind of shocking.

It should also be noted that the Mojave is the best Gladiator. Anyone who argues otherwise is wrong ;)
Seriously, Mojave is the best Gladiator.....

Agreed, best Gladiator :) Had mine 3 weeks. Came from a Maverick, fine little truck, but it just wasn't fun to drive.

Fwiw i just hit 103,000 miles and tow a camper a lot. Absolutely love my 2020 JT max tow.

if you’re looking ill give you some simple jeep advice. Get what you want upfront, DONT assume you can just add it later. You may be able to but it will cost more in time and $. So don’t settle for “good enough “.
