Is anyone aware of an "off the shelf" coupler for the factory door harnesses? I have been lucky not to bend the pins inside mine, but am increasingly annoyed at the factory harnesses, having to pry the things open (red, side, etc.) and wish it was just like a trailer hitch plug or something easy like that, no fingernails or flathead required. Thanks.

I keep a small screw driver in the glove box specifically to make this easy

Me too. But it’s annoying and they know people want to take the front doors off (back ones are fine). It’s like a gym I used to go to that had a row of showers but no towel hooks! You had to do the old man naked stroll, not ideal when with coworkers lol. Hassle proof = better experience

There isn't any aftermarket solution for that.

I was gonna be a smart azz an say chop them off and replace them with Deutsch connectors - but if the picture I found was accurate there's like 18 wires in one of the front door plugs 😂 Which at that point the only replacement I know of its a large round metal Deutsch connector.

So for $80 in connectors, another $40 in terminals, and a $150 specialty crimper and chopping up the factory harness you could add some pretty much bomb proof connections to the front doors, lol.

The same guy who makes the aftermarket passive entry harnesses also makes a door connector harness. No personal experience with it, and it seems pricey to me, but here ya go:
[edit] Maybe not so pricey going by the connector costs @ChrisNLA posted above.

I’m an avid fan of removing my doors and putting on my tube doors. I’ve done it enough that no tools are required. Pull straight and push straight for zero pin damage, the plastic connector keeps everything going to the correct location. Don’t get impatient and tug on them with side pressure. Practice makes Perfect.

Seems pretty reasonable based on what's there. Connectors and terminals add up fast.

Edit: Dang that would be $300 for two doors 😂

Well if you consider bracketry and labor, still totally understandable...
