I've read this in a few posts...not sure what that entails or even applies to the JT.

I have no idea what a “manumatic” is, but there is a manual mode on the autos where you can select the gears yourself. Pull back to “D” then pull the lever to the left (I think could be right). Click towards back of truck to up shift and forward to down shift.

The manual mode for automatic transmissions will allow you to manually select gears. It will not allow you to lug or overspeed the transmission though, so it will still automatically shift up or down if one of those conditions exist.

Mine stays in gear to red line. Not sure about yours. I use it when travelling all the time especially on the downhills. Regular drive it will downshift. Pop it into manual to keep it in 8th gear keeps revs low. This has saved me a few MPG. It will auto shift at a point but it only downshifts autop when i full stop.

If you're really interested, threedom makes a kit to add paddle shifters. I think you have to buy a Mojave steering wheel too. I think total that's about a $600-$700 mod, but I've mulled it over. I'd really like it for off road
