on discount tire there are some light weight wheels . like 13lbs which I think is a mistake or misprint.

anyone use some light wheels personally? I am going to replace I believe the oem wheels, with lighter wheels .

I run the Method 313s which are discontinued now, but were light at the time....25lb if I remember right? Wanted to reduce unsprung weight knowing oversized tires were going to add.

I would guess 13lb is a typo.

I recently bought a set of Vision Nemesis, they weigh 27lbs on my scale. They are one of the lighter options I could find that I liked. The Pro Comp bullet hole wheels are the lightest rim I could find at 25lbs, unless you go with a rim made for import tuners, some of those were 23lbs but the options for correct bolt pattern and offset are limited.

I saw those as well . I think they were the lightest I saw that was accurate.

First off the biggest diameter wheel will always be the heaviest, while being the most expensive at the same time. Then there are three types of materials used, steel being very strong with bendable properties, that can be corrected if not to far gone. Then there are cast alloy, where molten alloy is poured into a mold, then removed and machined to perfection and painted if necessary. Then there are forged alloys, that start out as solid billet metal pieces, that are forged under extremely high pressure into the shape and style, that are mostly the lightest and strongest to a point. But the key is using the smallest wheels of the same size on 4x4’s and AWD’s, that will fit on the bolt pattern and over the brake parts with no hits underneath, with the correct offset. The steel is usually the least expensive, the cast are next and forged the most expensive, starting with the smallest possible size made out of them all.

you said "first off" ...was there more?

I know the smaller the wheel the lighter . smaller wheel with big tire is lighter than bigger wheel with smaller tire. or so google said. thats why I am staying with 17inch wheels . that and ride comfort.

I would guess that the weight listed was for the smallest size tire in that model.
