Unless it's very wet in there, I would assume it's dirt. BUT - It's always super dry where I live, so what do I know?

Mold isn’t a big deal. Get a soapy damp cloth. Wipe it off. Use some Lysol, spray a small area and test color fastness, then clean.
A tiny bit of bleach diluted in water works too.

Run your A/C more.
got any leaks anywhere?

Ahh, yeah, different. With the bed cover, perhaps after cleaning, use some sort of scotch guard fabric protector/water repellent?

Berserka, be carfull of Lysole, it will kill your mold but may leave you with a nasty smell which just seems like it will never go away...Ask me how I know - LOL (ford mustang 1993 or so)...Use it sparingly.

Okay, so, sometimes moisture will collect dirt or when the moisture collect or beads on the surface the dirt is left behind after water dries. Do you smoke? This will definitely happen with the tar left behind from a smoker. Condensation dissolves the minerals and leaves them where the droplets dried. Or it’s mold. ?

might check and see if wet and forget can be applied to the material.

regardless, after it’s clean do a scotch guard application.

IMHO
