So I’ve just turned over 1k miles in my ‘21 Mojave. I love the truck and I absolutely did not buy it thinking I’d get good gas mileage as this is my 5th Jeep over the years. I’m averaging 13.1 mpg. I have only driven around town with a couple of trips up to the snow. Is this to be expected?

Sounds about right given you trudged in the snow. I get 13-16 city and 17-20 highway.

Thank you for the reply. I figured it was normal. My Ram Hemi that I traded for this did a little better surprisingly. I also don’t remember my JK being this bad but my memory is not good. At any rate, who cares, I love my truck.

The Ram with the cylinder shut off hemi 5.7L is amazing. I can get 28mpg cruising on the freeway but city is strictly 13mpg at best.

My JKU never got better than 17-18mpg overall. I don't think I ever got 19-20mpg like I could in the JT but that's probably more a function of the old 5 speed auto versus the new 8 speed auto.

that sounds a bit low. But it depends on how you drive I guess. I get 18-20 avg, but I drive like a grandpa. I don't need to be the first off the line at a light and yes it takes me a few seconds/minutes to get to 35 when I pull out onto the street. I also use the adaptive cruise on the highway set at 65. But hey if I wanted to fly everywhere I would have kept the turbocharged subaru. I've got nothing to prove to anyone, I enjoy driving my jeep so if it takes me longer to get somewhere it just makes me happier.
I also have 21' Mojave stock with AT tires. I hear the MTs will get a little worse mileage.

I have the stock MT tires. Definitely could be a factor. I too drive like a grandpa although I chose to order my truck without adaptive cruise.

I get 14-15 driving around calmly. And can 19-20 on the freeway at best going 65. 75 and it's 15 . Expect it to get better after 4-5K

That’s what I was wondering, if it would get better. Although I plan on regearing and going to 35’s this summer.

It seems a little low to me also. I have 35x12.5x17 and am getting 17.8 mpg at a little over 6500 miles. It was about 1 mpg higher in the summer and people talk about winter/summer gas. I burn regular gas. I drive with the mpg indicator on the screen sometimes and it looks like heavy foot starts have the worst impact on mileage. I start off slow as I can and that makes a big difference in mpg for me. I drive like an old man!

The manual gets 1 mpg less in highway due to gearing since it's only 6 speed.

I also do better on 35s. I can usually get about 20-21 on the highway at around 72mph on flat ground. If there are hills or head wind, then it's a different story. Surface streets I get around 15-16. 26K miles.

My Mojave is stock. Got almost 24 on a trip two different times. 22-23 is my normal hwy mpg. Most of that is interstate 90, 65-75 speeds.

13-14 town, 10-ish hwy. 5.13 gears turning 37's, When I throw my stock wheels on with the 33's I get 18-20 @ 65 mph. I don't go much faster than that, it just makes me stop for fuel more.
