I'm looking for info or advice on how I might 'pull' the driver rear exterior panel 'out' away from where it meets / aligns with the tailgate.
The tailgate binds and is not able to open due to the rear panel being pushed into it after I was hit while parked.
it's due in the body shop in 10 days ( assuming parts arrive) but I'd love to be able to open my tollgate in the meantime.
I can't find any examples of removal of that panel to show me more detail and maybe give me a clue if it's even possible to pull it out a few millimetres.
[ pic shows desired move - along red arrows to (re)create the gap between panel and tailgate. ]
I was considering pulling along side a utility pole and using a strong ratchet strap to pull it out ¯¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
