I've noticed that the thermometer registering the outside temperature is stuck on the prior reading when the vehicle was shut off when it is remote started. This results in the heated seats and steering wheel not being automatically turned on if it was over the set temp for them to be cut on.

For example, when I last parked my Gladiator it was 55*. Today when I remote started it it still showed 55* despite being 35* outside and as a result the heated wheel and seats were not turned on.

Anyone else had this issue?

Short answer for me is no. I remote start all of the time and when the wheel and seats should be on they are.

I have noticed it on mine. Typically, I have the reverse problem; drive to work in temps below 37, park. Temp rises during the day to say 55, my heated seats and steering wheel are automatically on. The external temp is stuck at what it was when parked at first, it quickly catches up but the seats and wheel heat doesn't turn off.

Doesn't bother me much as I just punch the buttons to turn them off, but I have noticed it.

I've had the same problem as the original poster. Annoying little issue. Not sure why it happens.

I have had a few issues but I noticed a few times when I got in and the car and seat was cold that when I fully started it the temp read 52. Kind of like a default temp since It said that temp every time and it was in the teens or twentys out. Once it started the temp came down to the actual temp quickly. Took it to dealer and of course it worked fine for them.

Sounds like a temp sensor issue. When remote start is used, the drivers heated wheel and seat are supposed to activate if the temp is below 40F.

It's normal. The ambient temperature ONLY updates when you're driving down the road. Otherwise it would always be erroneous because it would pick up engine/radiator heat.

Remote start relies on the interior sensor instead, which you can't see a reading of on the display.
