The Ranger Raptor uses as Watts Link rear suspension vs leaf spring. This is pretty cool as it and the Gladiator will be the only two mid-size trucks to use a rear coil set up.
dont you guys get the nissan navara in the US that got coils in the arse makes it saggy when loaded
The United States does not have the Nissan Navara. Nissan USA still has the out dated Nissan Frontier. There has been rumors that the Navara will come to North America to replace the Frontier. The Frontier is the smallest mid-size truck in America. The standard 2019 Ranger for the US, will only come with the Mustang's gas 2.3L I-4 Turbo EcoBoost with a 10 speed automatic. The Austrian/Asian Ranger Raptor will have a twin-turbo 2.0L diesel. If the Ranger Raptor makes it to North America, they said the Ranger Raptor will get a gas 2.7L V-6 EcoBoost. Automotive journalist does not expect the Ranger Raptor to get the turbo diesel in America. That should all depend on the how many buy the Colorado ZR2 with the diesel would probably determined if we get the diesel Ranger Raptor. Ford just put a small 3.0L V-6 turbo Power Stroke into the F-150 this year. So time will tell. Jeep with the 3.0L EcoDiesel in the JT Gladiator will be the largest diesel motor in the mid-size trucks.also they (nissan) lost a lot of sales because of the coil rear previous models sold like hot cakes current model is struggling
another interesting thing is that last year was the first year the hilux 4x4 was out sold & thats because the ford ranger had a 3.2l engine so when the new ranger comes out with the 2.0l engine i think toyota will get its crown back
I didn't see $46k, I did see 4x4 Supercrew Lariat for $39,480 as starting point. I am sure it would be easy to add all kinds of options, but Lariats start out nicely equipped. I would pay $40k, if I wanted bells and whistles, but my taste runs more toward base model because I would use it for what it is, a truck on my property or futzing around in. Won't ever be a daily driver and don't need/want Rubicon. They are cool, but I have no use for one.Yea I saw that. Did you see a nicely equipped Lariat is $46K? Thats not even a Raptor version.
I’ll bet an extended cab or regular cab is offered if not in the first year by the third for sure. Jeep has too much invested in this platform to offe only one variant4 door, short bed, doors and top do not come off very easy, windscreen does not fold down. No thanks.
I know the JT is rumored to be 4 door only but that won't stop me from buying one.
