No one should be buying them to flip them. It is a slap in the face to the other service members!
But I always say just because you are in the Military doesn’t mean you have morals….
And I am a retired Marine, I have seen it plenty of times.

I didn’t really look into it so didn’t enter. It would be nice but I’d kinda like to pay off the one I have now before picking up another one. This is the first time I’ve had a car payment in about 5 years so I’m not liking it.

I wanted number #013 if I were selected lmao kinda my lucky number now

Probably a good thing I didn’t get selected. I don’t need to be vehicle poor lmao I could swing the payments but I don’t NEED this 🤣
It's not always about NEEDs, sometimes it just has to be about WANTs.
Me WANTs what me WANTs. Fortunately, right now I don't WANT a 392.

Mine needed a new long block and were blessed that a local dealer swapped with our dealership. Still took two months.

Let me make sure I understand.

All the emails from Fox Factory
for a chance to buy a Commando
have gone out
and nobody on this forum received one.

And the recipients were chosen
on the strength of their story
and not in the order
entries were submitted.

A couple of us did receive a email saying that we were selected. We had until 2359 last night to Accept or Decline and to also select the options. A rep will make contact in 5-7 business days to discuss the way forward. I think selection was based on the essay submitted.

If people decline
will they continue to select other veterans
to replace them
until all the Commandos are taken?

Were there any conditions stipulated
regarding resale?

Buddy got selected. Has till Sunday to decide. He just wants to flip it.
Step 1: get selected
Step 2: Order limited edition pinky promise for realities this time
Step 3: try to flip it after Jeep decides it’s not so special after all
Step 4: Join class action lawsuit
Step 5: profit for the lawyers

I think you are being a bit (or a lot) naive here. Do you really think Stellantis gives a rat's ass about resale or anything beyond the publicity they are getting?

Other than using it for marketing, sales and goodwill, do you honestly think, a year from now, where those vehicles are? If they get sold, totaled, smuggled to a third world country or some other event, in a year from now, will Stellantis care?

That wasn’t my point. Being in the Military is about honor to me. I don’t give a rats ass about the company. What I see is a service member taking advantage of a situation that takes away from other service members.
If it was an unlimited amount of vehicles that were available to service members and any service member could get one I wouldn’t care what they did with them.
BUT a service member taking advantage of this to flip it is depriving another service member who actually wants to buy this for him/her self to use.
So you are probably right, I am being naive that being in the service is about honor….

Things like this always happen once you pay it off. 2 weeks after I paid off my LJ I got rear ended by a drunk driver doing 80mph on the I-15S with no lights on. Her kia was absolutely destroyed. My Jeep drove away with a limp. Her insurance paid for a new suspension though and I used EVERY penny and a few extra. :like:

First of all, thank you for your service.
Second, service members are people too. As you know better than me, some are not in the best situations in life. If a few of them take the opportunity to make some money for themselves buying and reselling a Jeep .... well .... as a non-military vet, I certainly would never hold that against them. You, on the other hand, could be more objective that me since you are a vet.

In any case, I don't think there will be a mass sell-off of the military models. But again, thank you.
