Well, it would have been nice to attend that and have won the Mt Rushmore lottery.

We entered the 250th celebration lottery but didn’t get picked. You may be able to watch the fireworks from a point outside the park.

We frequent the Black Hills but usually in cold weather and snow.

I haven't hear of that, but that doesn't mean it's not legit. Looks real. I will actually be in the Black Hills over the 4th, closer to Spearfish. If you go post up about your experience.

Yes, it is for real. We were at the Jeep Beach thing in Daytona FL in April and they made several announcements when we were there that they plan on making this an annual event, from what I remember.
