Anyone notice something different about this hardtop? At first looked to be a shadow, but it’s not. Look at the black hardtop just as meets the rear doors. There seems to be a vertical strip, decal or contour that’s about 1-2 inches thick up along the rear pillar of the top. What could this be?

Looking through all the other pics, no other Hardtop has this feature.

Well, since you asked. I have a lot of experience in vehicle design. Fact; this window is next level design. It's technically superior to all other mid sized truck beer windows. This one was ergonomically sized according to the 95 percentile of Labrador Retriever heads, so that with a canopy on, said pet can poke his head through on road trips and drool on the kids in the back seats.

I often wonder now I know. Back to the reason I asked, 90% of trucks that I investigated a breaking to was entered through the beer window! Is it better designed now? Like the lad test though

If you look at the pictures from 3/4 behind, those strips look recessed. Perhaps for better airflow/less buffeting around the rear quarter?
Looks like velcro to me.

Those look like the optional Rubi wheels (in all black vice having the machined silver highlights)

They did the same thing with the JL Rubi stock wheels. Silver stock, but black at the auto shows. They eventually showed up on the Moab edition. This, to me, signals a possible future S.E. for the JT as well, whether it's "Freedom" or something else.

Could this be akin to the Willys Wheeler JK? Sport with some Rubicon exterior bits?
