Jeep gladiator delays

How does the order process guide work? It's not too late to cancel my order and do something else with another dealer.

Note the first post is not up to date, you'll need to grab the most recent month's guide down-thread. The guide will tell you what is available to order and in what combinations. The guide is also somewhat slow to update (by way better than Jeep.com), for example Gecko and Gorilla Glass are orderable but I don't think they're in the guide.

Once you have a sense of what you may want to order just email Daniel @ Gupton or Travis @ Tri City or one of the other frequently used dealers. They'll give you a straightforward and accurate listing of what's available and their pricing and you can decide whether or not to move forward.

Thank you so much for this! The nacho was actually on the Jeep website and they said it was only there because there were a few out in the wild... But it was not orderable. I feel lied too. I guess I should have expected that from a dealership

Did you ask your dealer for an update? I ordered on July 5 and my dealer is saying that it's scheduled for build 9/13. Which lines up with Jeep Chat that stated my Jeep is scheduled and in line for build.

I haven't checked with my dealer... I was chatting with Jeep and so far they're just saying that my parts are being sourced and there's no schedule for build yet. It's depressing. I ordered the max tow package and the safety package... To include the lane assist etc. I didn't think I ordered anything weird... I'm just so tired of it taking so long

It honestly doesn't make sense. I ordered a rubicon diesel with every option except the hard top. Why would mine be scheduled for build before yours?

I guess because it's a Jeep Gladiator. There's no reason. I'm disillusioned, but I still want it

I did order the hard top.... I can't imagine that's the problem

I ordered my Jeep gladiator on June 22 and gladiator builds are now on hold from Aug 2-8, Someone told me if I was issued a VIN # my Jeep wouldn't be included in the chip shortage issue....that if I was issued a VIN number my chip was preassigned when that VIN was issued. Does anyone know if this is true?

I placed my order for a Mojave on July 10. I called the dealer and finally received a VIN yesterday. I was told it is just now in framing, but now that it’s in the build process there should not be any delays. The glitch is don’t expect it to arrive at the dealer for another six weeks. I guess to make a short story long, once a VIN is assigned, that build process does not stop,

Proximity Sensors are the current delay according to Gupton. They no longer sell it as an option.

I'm glad I was able to order before that was no longer an option. Deal breaker for me. I'm done with keys.

Yeah, it sucks for me. Im going to have to add it after market.

Or just wait. The shortage won't last forever but it's going to be a while.
