In this video, I plug in a boat load of stuff to test out the inverter in the truck. I explain how power inverters work and how they convert electricity. Just like engineering explained does, I love to teach the basics. This was a fun video.

Thanks for this! I was just about to post asking how important this feature was to those that purchased it. We've nailed down a few "must have's" as well as a few features that would be nice if they came on a well priced JT. This is currently on the list as either a "must have" or "would be nice". I hope this helps with our decision!

Great question! PWM will never be a "true sine" as it would need to be infinitely variable. But I get what you mean. Is it + off - off + off and so on. I will see if I can get an oscope reading for you.

I'd be interested in seeing the waveform. Probably just a square wave, though.

Interesting, thank you for sharing! I did not know that was where the inverter lived. I wonder how difficult it would be to swap the inverter (and associated wiring/harnesses) with an aftermarket, higher power one. I had the same issue you had with the Keurig while trying to run a mini fridge off of mine. Constant wattage was <400W, but startup of the compressor was >400W and it seemed to try 2-3 times to fire up before the inverter cut power and gave me an error message on the speedometer display until I stopped and re-started the JT.
