I bought a Gladiator and am wondering if anyone else here has any advice from a Minnesotan to a Minnesotan.

I’d Like to take advantage of the warmish weather and drive around without doors. Any recommendations for mirrors that hold up well above 60 mph?

Any recommendations for winter tires?

What other accessories do I “need”?

New Jeep owner, so let me have it!

I have the Jpeggs Mirrors and drive doors off on the freeway regularly at 70-75 mph at times and they do not vibrate or budge. The only thing is they use up both the door hinges so if your planning on running soft doors or others these won't work. I love them but if I decide to run soft doors at times. I will have to come up with a different mirror set up. The Lange Coyote mirrors look interesting. Depending what you have if your running doors off get some foot pegs. The Jpeggs come with the foot peg built on.

I went with kikbax door off mirrors. They slide in (no bolts required), are very steady, and have a foot rest. I also went with a bestop sunshade when the roof is off and it really helps with the sun beating on you in the afternoon. There are a lot of tires out there but I've had two specific tires I have been very happy with. I've had both BFG KO2 and Toyo ATIII. Both are all terrains, C rated, and 3peak winter certified. Great DD tires and hold their own offroad (I have done smokey mtn, colo, and moab trips with both brands). Take a look at my build thread for other mod ideas.

Not a Minnesotan, prior North Dakotan lost in Connecticut. I have these mirrors from amazon and they hold up to highway wind without moving:

Minnesotan here. CMM Offroad Mirrors. They are spendy, but very solid and American made. I mounted them on the bottom of my grab bar for a more natural mirror location.

As for tires... I'm still trying to figure that out. If you can help it...try to stay away from the 12.5" wide tires. Skinnier the better for most all conditions year round. Skinnier tires will perform better in basically everything except soft sand or "bottomless" snow.

I'm currently looking at switching to a Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT 35 x 10 tire right now (255/85r17) or maybe a Toyo ATIII in 35x11.5r17 size.. I had a 33x10 on my last two jeeps and loved them... I went 35x12.5 on the JT because that's so much of what's available and "it's what everyone does"... but I'm not real happy with them.
