Meh, it's just a marketing gimmick. Like those "Jeep Edition" Midland radios a while back. Slap a name on it and generate some temporary sales.
Glad you have basic understanding of marketing...

So yes it's a gimmick but it basically a quality boot I've used off and on for a long time. I know the product line that this is. They did just slap jeep stuff on it and for a boot I've had bought anyways within a year or so to replace the aging ones of this style, for $6 difference because I did have a 20% code for this brand. I have access to adult money, they will get practical use for what the boot is actually designed for & I now have my favorite outdoor boot with Jeep written on it.

It's not like I went and bought a shirt(hat, socks, sticker, vehicle...) just because it had jeep on it... #&@* it.. okay so maybe I have a problem.

I tried a pair of merrells a while back. They would not stop squeaking. Put the right back in the box and ordered another pair of salomons forces gtx. I love my lowa zephyrs as well, but the siping on them are straight up poor. I think they redesigned the treads recently, though.
Nevertheless, i do still like the look of the merrells. Maybe try them again in when one of my current boots go south.

Either way, they are limited edition so they might be a good investment, especially with the 20% off. The shoe market is nuts. Keep the tags on them, try them on and if you don’t like them, resell once discontinued.

That was my thought actually. One pair to wear to jeep events, one for my man cave wall (or to sell later and recoup costs). Same happened when buying car specific watches in the past. I was able to sell them later when I sold the car for more than I paid for them.

LOL thats about right, those soles on certain Merrells on any waxed floor or hard floor for that matter are annouying. But thats vibram soles for you, great to grip and awesome anti-slip (Got the last pair I had specifically for wet rocky trails on Isle Royale years back.) but are loud on anything not rock or dirt. Then again that's the only time I wear my moab merrells, because they squak any other time.

I'm actually trying to buy a house soon and we've been penny pinching for several months. My wife wasn't excited I decided to buy not just one but two different color boots..... Because Jeep and Rubicon is written on them.

Just ordered hydro blue!

you can save 20% too, see below. Paid $140.
I love the idea of the hydro blue boots to match my truck, but I have a harder time picturing what I'd wear them with. If I end up getting a pair I'll probably go with the grey as it works with any other colors. The blue is fun though...
Not even waterproof.
I'm glad they aren't. Waterproof boots have a lot of great use cases but for me I prefer the better breathability of non-waterproof boots for 99% of what I do. Around SoCal it's rare to need waterproof.

You’ll probably just have to dress like a blueberry whichever day you decide to wear them. ????

I just bought my first pair of merrell boots the other day. I got them at Ross for about $50. I’ll save the extra $100 on a pair of boots that are going to get beat on without question. If they had a Jeep order tracker branded pair I might be tempted to buy them. Since I can relate to that more than an actual Jeep.:headbang:

I can't wear Rubicon boots. They should have just tossed "Jeep " on there.
I have many pair of Merrell shoes and boots, but l agree. Us cool hood Mojave owners can’t wear a Rubi branded boot. That would be like a guy wearing a dress, it just ain’t right. And here come the flood of Rubi owners replying. ???
