@ThatStinging_Jeep and @Mojave40 I just want to thank you both for your bad influence. I have been looking for a winch bumper off and on since January and kept going back to the Pritchett Canyon. Thanks largely to the pics both of you posted in this thread I caved and … mine arrives via fedex tomorrow.
@jbehrn you are just as guilty as those other two - you started this conversation!
??
Always happy to be a bad influence when it comes to Jeeps. Congrats on the purchase, make sure to post up some pictures once you have it.

Very happy with the SuperWinch. It has a very smooth clutch and the wireless remote works great. I owned a Warn VR Evo before this and they are similar in quality.

Something... something... software.
Did you get it painted or powder coated? Any issues with rust? Are you running a wench? I’ve got a Rubicon and am wondering if I’ll need a front lift due too the weight of the bumper and a wench.
Like this?

Sorry. I'm not a spelling Nazi, but sometimes when it spells something else, it's a little funny.... (My fav was a post about a guy wiping vs whipping another guy's a$$...)

Looks like they also offer it without the skid for $580
https://www.barnes4wd.com/JL-and-JT-Pritchett-Canyon-Front-Bumper_p_1108.html

I like it a lot, but I cant pull the trigger on it. For nearly $600, I shouldnt have to then pay more / spend more time getting it powder coated (Id end up spraying it with bedliner, but then there goes a day of my time and $100 on primer and raptor liner). I dont wanna spend.. likely $650 after tax, on an unfinished product.

Side note, if one of the 3 holes on either side of the fairlead was designed as a mounting point for the factory fogs, Id prolly spend a little more time trying to talk myself into it...

It's still cheaper adding the cost of powder-coating of any of the shiestiest bumpers out there being sold; but looks quality and worth every penny. Have you seen what some others go for? I'm not a fan of the "raw" products or +250 club myself, but for a decent product still sub $1000 it's definitely still a good buy IMO.

Dang it.... i'm running the arcus front bumper right now but seen these awhile back. Now that i see it works with the factory mojave skid, makes it more appealing cost wise. Guess ill put my arcus up for sale ?‍♂

My new bumper arrived today. Here are a few pics that answer some of the questions others have asked.
First, the weld quality. Obviously not as good as a stress test, but a visual inspection reveals some very nice (and consistent!) work as stated previously.

There was also a question about factory fog lights. That was also a concern of mine but I decided to get the bumper because it is almost exactly what I had in mind, then figure out what to do after it arrived. Some observations:
1. The holes in the bumper are 2” dia. My factory led fog lights are 3 1/2” dia, so no luck just welding on a bracket.
2. From the back of the bumper it looks like the only possibility are the holes closest to the winch fairlead. I placed a 3 1/2” dia. hole saw against the inside of the bumper to show how that would maybe work. The tube at the top is right at the top of the hole, and if you look closely at the hole saw the bottom radius of the bumper starts just before the outside diameter of the hole saw, so I would say the factory fogs will not mount inside this bumper. My winch is supposed to arrive tomorrow and once that is sitting in place I think it’s likely there will not be enough space between the winch and the bumper to fit a fog light in there anyway.

There are already mounting holes in the top of the bumper so I’ll be posting my led fog lights sometime soon once I’m ready to mount the new bumper, winch, etc.
I don’t want to hijack the op’s thread so if I should start a new one for a discussion about fog light recommendations or other ideas for reusing the factory fog lights on this bumper let me know.
