All are welcome. I have done Ophir, Imogene, and Yankee Boy. We should have enough experience with us to get through the others. I avoided Engineer and Black Bear last time due to rain storms.

Let me talk to my wife and buddy. My buddy and I have been talking about this around this time

If its just me, I'm down with whatever kind of lodging there is

If he comes with us we'll definitely camp and have a WJ with us

I’d be In. Coming from Albuquerque New Mexico it’s 5 hours to the trailhead in Silverton.

I’ve done engineer, Poughkeepsie gulch, mineral springs, Imogene, and Ophir ?

3 states involved is much better than 2.
Looking forward to this.

So how bad is poughkeepsie gulch? I've watched videos, is it only the "wall" that's super gnarly?

How would just an LSD and no lockers do?

Also, good book for any first timers that join: Colorado backroads

sounds like most of the group has been up there a few times though.

Lastly, this is a favorite spot to camp for me. Allows you to hit the alpine loop from Silverton and it’s got a large parking spot near the end of the trail.

Coordinates:
Highland Mary Campsite/trailhead

The wall is the only tough obstacle imo and even that it’s about momentum. You would be fine especially with a group like this ?

@Orange01z28 I need to get the AZ version! Haven’t been out there as much as I should, especially living so close.

These trucks are certainly capable! I scraped a bit at the top of Poughkeepsie but nothing bad and certainly nowhere near getting stuck.

I’d be interested but as of right now I’m planning an Alaska trip from mid May to September, if the border is closed I’ll be coming with you, I’ve done most of the trails planned in my LJ this would be the first for the Gladiator

Yeah, they start in July but have a couple more two week breaks throughout the year. It's almost "year-round" scheduling
