I absolutely don't want to start anything bashing any company or any other model, but I am curious as to the "Draw" toward the Bronco.
They don't fit my personal taste in vehicles, and on that I would choose any of a number of other options for my use - but I am curious as to what the attraction is.
They are on the road around here - and by that I have two meanings. They are selling here, but being used totally as grocery getters like pretty much any other "SUV" and won't be off-road.
So, why not Land Rover, or a model made by GM, or whatever?
Non-Jeep owners say the same about Jeep owners.

Broncos have been popular for awhile now. The prices of the 65-77 models are insane.

LOL - guess I was trying to over-complicate the answer.
I think maybe you have answered it right there.

Frankly, I was in the thick of being a mechanic in the 70s and 80s when there were a lot of the original Broncos around. I could see myself having one of those.
There were a lot of them used by hunters, farmers and fishermen around here. Put radical tires on them and they were tanks.

Anyway, yeah, as they used to say on Family Feud - "good answer" (but on that show, it seldom was a good answer. Is it even still around?)

I test drove one before we knew they would be so hard to get. The draw for me was power levels and interior comfort. The ecoboost pulls strong, and has an aftermarket that can make it nuts. The seats in the trim I drove were awesome. I could easily see a 15 hour day driving it without fatigue. I also like the aesthetics of it.

Hey, some more logic.
I have to admit - aside from the seats in my Javelin (among the best of any car I've owned - although the seats in the 70 Javelin were actually more comfy), my JT has very comfortable seats. I can ride in my truck a lot more easily and longer than in my wife's '21 Grand Cherokee.
HOWEVER, my wife's cousin Laurette came by for a visit a couple of years ago and they have a small Ford SUV - I can't recall what it was, dang it. Anyway, it was in the way for getting my vehicle out and my wife and Laurette wanted pizza and asked if I would go get it.
She tossed me the keys to that little ford. I got in expecting a piece of, well, and man, I did not want to get back out of that thing. It was like the engineers at Ford had taken a casting of my body, tweaked it for my back problems, and made a seat just for me.
I told Laurette when I got back that was, bar none, the most comfortable seat I had ever been in and didn't want to get out of that little thing when I got back with the pizza. If they ever total it, I want the seats!
So if Ford has taken those forward for the Bronco - I'd say heck yeah, I can see where you are coming from.

Off the topic for sure - but I couldn't help but think of this when I realized what your forum user name was........

I drove 3 broncos so far. Badlands 4dr 2.3 softtop lux auto with leather. Badlands sasquatch 4dr 2.3 hardtop mid manual with vinyl, Big Bend 2dr 2.3 hardtop mid auto with cloth.

I found all of the seats comfortable enough for what the vehicle was, but not worth bragging about. For reference I was driving a K900 V8 VIP at the time i drove the 2 automatics, so that's a hard comparison for any vehicle not costing a lot more than the K900 to go up against. When i drove the manual sasquatch I was already in my automatic willys, and they felt equivalent. I will say my Mojave seats are much nicer than the Willys, , Overlands, and Sports i've driven (never driven a rubi) and from memory the Mojave seats are definitely more comfortable than anything bronco i've driven (still doesn't match my old K900).

As for the appeal of the Bronco? I wanted a 2door Jeep for as long as I could remember but always felt it was a little small. 2dr Bronco was a nice size increase over the 2dr wrangler. And as my offroad aspirations never have (and probably never will) include rock crawling because i'm scared of damage, an IFS wouldn't be a hinderance.

I still love 2door Broncos. If i won the lottery tomorrow, i would own both my Mojave and a 2dr Bronco. The 4door Broncos are less interesting to me.

Ha, it's just a goof from a character I wrote once. I used to write non-fiction in my area of expertise for a side income with some success in online and traditional print, but only did fiction as a hobby. It's an odd time as it's easier than ever to get published, but that means everyone is getting published so the money isn't really there and traditional print is in a death spiral.

Anywho, back to topic:

I'd likely be driving a Bronco now if they were readily available. I have no concern about the 2.7 issue, every vehicle has issues in some runs of serial numbers and the absolute surest way to think any given vehicle is a timebomb on wheels is to read a forum about it. As it is I have bids out for a Gladiator.

Also worth mentioning is the Bronco has a lockable cage in the storage compartment as an option. One of my big issues with traveling with an SUV is how difficult it is to secure luggage and equipment from thieves. Vehicle break-ins are endemic in certain areas. Some SUVs offer the screen that hides the cargo area, but Bronco has an actual cage. It's not a vault, but it's a lot better than glass or vinyl and anything that slows thieves down is more deterrent.

Ride quality was good, road noise was low for what it is.

Downsides:

Quality of hard tops sucks.
Quality of soft top isn't too far behind.
Pinch weld is highly visible until you put rock rails or the like on
