Just bought my first Jeep and would love feedback

Just picked up a 2021 Gladiator Sport and it’s all stock.
I shop constantly for “things” to add to it, but here is my priority list and would love feedback/advice on your first time

1. Running boards
2. Bed liner/bed cover
3. Stereo upgrade
4 . Ties & wheels/lift
5. Grill

I’d love to hear about other jeep owners’ experiences

IMO, get the Running Boards (looks better and your Girl Friend will appreciate them to step up) and bed liner (protects) and cover (protects, hides) (now)...Drive it for a year to see if you need anything else.

Probably not the most popular advice, but I kind of wish someone had convinced me to just drive it as-is for a while and see what you REALLY need/want.

The second I got my Mojave, I went nuts getting the Mopar steel bumpers in front and rear, heavy duty rock sliders, bed guards, AUX group, etc.

Those are all good things, but a year later, I kind of wish I had just chilled out a bit. The factory plastic bumpers aren't sexy, but they're fine for what I do (mostly commuting). The rock sliders are good parking lot insurance, but they haven't really come in handy yet, and they're only half useful as steps.

Meanwhile, I kind of wish I had dedicated more $$$ to the bed and making that a usable space. Right now, all I have is the spray-in bedliner (which rocks), and the Mopar tri-fold tonneau cover. But, other than that, it's just a really durable, awkwardly shaped box. I wish I had gotten the cargo rail system, and had saved some scratch for a nice sport bar, spare tire setup, and molle panels.

It's easy to get excited thinking of all the new toys and upgrades you want to do, but there's also nothing wrong with taking your time and let the priority of needs come to you rather than having everyone else tell you how to spend your money.

Overland steps will handle sandy hills and most of the time the frame will catch before the rails touch.

offer up usually has take offs and Rubicon rock sliders. There is even member marketplace here. Tyger has a really nice covers and they work with bed rail systems.

Addendum: Pre-runner lights are fine. Grille inserts of beach scenes are fine. Angry headlight grilles are not.
