Ordered a 2022 Rubicon in Fireceacker red on 10/29! The wait is going to kill me but worth it for a 2022 exactly how I wanted it. Never ordered before, just settled for what was on the lot so this is a whole new experience for me! I know it will be perfect though! Couldn't add the trailer brake controller to it but the dealer has one in parts stock that they are holding for me.

Ordered mine yesterday, $500 down, rediculous price for a Truck that has no hood-lock, no gas cap lock and no DVD player...But somehow I got hooked anyway :).
...
Leather Trim Seats

I would like heated seats but the heated stearing wheel thing and remote start is just a bridged too far for me, just dosn't belong in a vehicle like this (for me :))...Not only that, I am afraid I might start the car by accident when walking away - LOL.
Ok, did you say DVD player? Never heard of that ?.

Funny how everyone views Jeeps differently... for me, an automatic doesn't belong and neither does leather, but heated seats are more than ok in my book! Especially the steering wheel (although the JL/JT steering wheels are SOOOO much better than the JK and prior ice cubes).

Also, you should not be paying MSRP... at least 1% below invoice with the Affiliate discount. There are a few threads on here about using the Tread Lightly membership to get one for $100. Pays for itself easily.

Good luck on your order! Placed mine 10/26... holding my breath now

Do not do the tread lightly if you would like a discount as it’s not available on 2022 model Gladiators at this time. You can still use on a 2021 though.

Yea it is interesting...The DVD was being sarcastic, but the funny thing since I haven't purchased a car since 2003 NOOB, I had no clue there are no DVDs anymore in cars - LOL...I would still be expecting it if someone didn't start a thread complaining about this fact 2 weeks ago.

No hood lock or gas cap lock was a shocker at first. The only defense the saleperson had was it has been this way since the begining...Well, then why do we have all the other features that were not there since the biggining. Not really a good reason and at this price point no excuse...I gave up the front trail camera because I will have the dealer install the mopar hood lock which goes in the same spot.

On the leather for this truck I can take it or leave it, but the only way to get some NON-black seats (meaning the entire cabin will be black - yuk!) is to get the leather-trim option.

Do not do the tread lightly if you would like a discount as it’s not available on 2022 model Gladiators at this time. You can still use on a 2021 though.
On the discount Gentleman, thanks for the heads up (havn't heard about it up to now)...My truck with option came to 65,000$ so the discount would be $650. Minus the fee $550, not earthshatering but I would take it.

But it is moot I guess, and I already signed the contract with my deposite, I have a feeling it would be too late even if they offered in for 2022 Mojave's.

With state tax and dealer fees about $70K, NUTZ - LOL! But as I said, I got hooked and it is the best off-roader in the mid-size segment and most unique truck in any segment. Additionally, I have no desire for a larget truck.

Also in the midside segment it is only one of two trucks where you can get non-black/Charcole seats (the other being a Ranger - but ranger has no sun roof, I got the hard top with the pannels and an extra flip top for hard top in summers. Not exactly a sun roof, but...)

Should be a lot of Fun.

Hopefully you were able to get a good amount under MSRP. It’s pretty easy to be able to pay 5, 6, 7 even 8% under invoice.

Ain’t gonna see that discount on a 2022 for a while. Maybe a few percentage points under invoice.

This might be splitting hairs, but to clarify, it's not the Tread Lightly discount that's in question, it's the Affiliate Discount, which Tread Lightly gives you access to. A lot of employers give their employees the Affiliate Discount, too. Tread Lightly is a means to get it if your employer doesn't offer it. Since joeym7 says he's retired, I assumed he has no access to an employer affiliate.

You are correct: as of the last time I checked (right before I ordered mine) the 2022 MY was not on their list. If you go to the affiliate website, they do show Gladiator as a valid model but they don't say which year. I confirmed that (so far) it's only the 2021 MY. The Affiliate 800# rep did tell me that the list gets updated frequently, so it may get on the list at some point. Maybe since FCA doesn't even show MY22 on the website yet?

Tread Lightly gives you a bunch of other discounts/coupons, too, so I registered anyway.

The discount is WAY more than $650... it's 1% below invoice. Invoice is (roughly) 5% over MSRP, and you get 1% below that. So, some very rough math says you would get $3900 off.

Not true at all. I got 7% under invoice about 2 weeks ago from Peterson in ID.
Gupton is still offering 8%.

Dealer in Vegas is offering 5-7% under as well.

Some in Atlanta too.

Yes you are correct. I only mentioned tread lightly as that is what people where recommending they sign up for.

As far as the poster talking about the $650 he saved. He saved that off of the retail of the vehicle not invoice. Unless I totally misread that as he mentioned the truck was $65000 and if he was able to save with the affiliate discount through tread lightly his discount would be $650 or 1% off of retail. So in turn now he didn’t save anything and paid full retail as far as I can tell as no options would be invoiced at 65k.

then I am at a loss as I placed an order for a 2022through Guptonon the 5th and saved exactly 1-2% under invoice. About 12% off of retail. $63070 Retail and $6634 discount with my own financing.

Maybe that's the confusion, the Affiliate Discount is 1% below invoice, not below/off MSRP.

Perhaps. I wouldn’t mind getting an extra $500 or so dollars off myself. Even though I qualify fo the affiliate discount sans tread lightly. At least I qualify for the Military Discount. Which is helpful and don’t have to pay taxes on the vehicle a huge bonus. In today’s market I find it quite satisfying to even get invoice.
