Do we know for certain that the plant isn't in operation right now?

I saw someone posted start date is next week. I had a hard time navigating the tracking system. StIill showing 20’s open.

Dealer said 6-8 weeks... not sure if that’s actually realistic or not.

I got a text yesterday from my salesman saying my ‘21 Mojave that was in D1 since 7/10, was built on Thursday and is showing “JB” status now. Obviously I was surprised after what I read here about Job-1 dates, but don’t think he’d send that to me if he wasn’t sure. Guess I’ll find out soon enough.

That is false. A friend of mine preordered his 21 Diesel Gladiator the day preorder opened and his build is in D2.

I got a text yesterday from my salesman saying my ‘21 Mojave that was in D1 since 7/10, was built on Thursday and is showing “JB” status now. Obviously I was surprised after what I read here about Job-1 dates, but don’t think he’d send that to me if he wasn’t sure. Guess I’ll find out soon enough.

And Jeep chat just confirmed this morning it was built. They wouldn’t give a status code, but said this

Thanks, I just keep seeing posts saying "when production starts."

After my post I went and looked for any indication of production... sadly what I discovered is that workers in these factories are being pushed, in spite of covid-19 outbreaks. I feel a bit of an ethical dilemma for ordering vs buying a 2020 on the lot. Alas, what's done is done... but I wonder how much of a delay there will be for my or other future orders as the illness moves in and out of the factory.

Yes, D1....fat fingered it. D status has been the longest on all mine also but usually only 2-3 weeks. I ordered my 2021 Gladiator Diesel 2 weeks ago and havent bothered to check the status. I still have my 2020 so .... no rush for me!

The only Jeep I ordered that was quick was back in 2016. Back in 07 I ordered the first 4 door and it took months for that one. My 18 and 19 JL 2 door orders where a nightmare. The 18 was almost 5 months. The 19 got held up in inspection for 2 months. Ordered a Gladiator with the manual when that was an issue and just gave up on that one. My JL eco diesel was a disaster as well as I’m sure u have seen on the JL forum. Ordered a diesel Gladiator and have my fingers crossed, but I should know better by now.

Ordered 07/07, was given a build date of 08/31, was just informed my build date has been pushed back to 09/12 now.

Something caused it. I was just putting it out there so someone that is curious can maybe pick up on a pattern of how long it’s gonna take these days.

Ordered mine 8/11. VON the next day. Still haven't received a VIN. The not knowing is killer.
