Ordered Hydro Mojave on 10/06/2020. Got VIN Status D on 10/08/2020. Already got Status D1 Estimated ship date of 11/06/2020. Might have it for hunting season.

I want to give a big thanks to Leon @ Criswell. 7% off invoice. Very easy to work with and gave a acceptable price on my trade. Worth the 4 hour drive.

Ordered July 20. Just got this update from FCA, same one I got Sept. 29:

Thank you John. The Gladiator has finished all of the build process and it's currently in the ship phase. At this time we do not have a current ETA for when it will be arriving at the dealer. We do ship out the Jeep's in lots, so more then likely it is waiting for a full load to all be heading to the same area before that ETA is finalized. I'd recommend contacting us back in a week for an update, but we are available 24/7 if you do want to contact back sooner.

So if a few more folks from Upstate NY could go out and order a Jeep so they ship the lot my way, I'd appreciate it.

Slightly different take from my dealer, who's been great to work with so far ...

We are a direct ship from the factory, meaning it goes on a truck and gets delivered directly to us. It does not go on a rail, so it should never be help up There are trucks coming to Buffalo and Rochester area daily. Unfortunately, they are so backed up, and they don't have enough trucks to accommodate the production. They are still catching up from down time for COVID.
Feel free to cross fingers. I could be in Toledo in 6 hours by Amtrak. Maybe I should offer to go pick it up?

I tried that with my dealer, no go. You'd think that would be an option - would allow FCA to keep the destination charge and not have to pay freight...

I ordered a Blue Mojave on Oct 10th and my wife got talked into ordering a Sting Gray Wrangler Sahara on 10/13. No info on any VINs or Von's just yet. I figured i'll give the dealer a week or two before I bug them.

Wow, I also ordered with Leon on 9/17, went into D status with VIN on 9/22, and was given estimated ship date of 11/5. So your order is almost 3 weeks after mine and your ESD is only 1 day later?!

I went into status D1 on 10/8. I'm now checking with JeepCares every day and getting slightly different wording of the same response. " I am showing all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly. " They also have said "sequenced for production". I even called a few days ago, and they said "It's on the rails, waiting to be built!".....yeah right! what rails?!?!?! like the assembly line? bull poop.

They have been saying that for 9 days. It's so frustrating that the system is like this. I get that we are all in the same boat and this is just the way it is, but that doesn't make it right. FCA should be able to provide better info. They know how many they need to make, they know how long it takes to build it. It shouldn't be so hard to give a better estimate on when it's going to go into paint and start getting built.

It's about a $50k product. We deserve to know more, right? Grub Hub give me more information about my McDonalds.

As of today I have my build sheet but could not get a window sticker. I'm guessing they're not created at the same time.
From what I have seen here the window sticker seems to populate at or during the shipping phase.

I have never heard "on the rails" before, but they could be referring to the body shop buffer. The body shop in an auto assembly plant is where the body is fabricated and painted, and is disconnected from final assembly. Therefore there is typically some sort of buffer stock of completed bodies awaiting final assembly.

The other thing I will point out is that building a car or truck requires an incredible amount of logistical coordination that most people have little appreciation for. Add to that a global supply chain, hundreds of suppliers, and the disruption caused by COVID-19 and you have what is now a production scheduling nightmare.

I placed an order for my first jeep which is the JT Sport S with max tow and almost fully loaded on 10/05 with Daniel at Gupton. Received the VON on the same day. I waited a week and got the VIN and POC.

The status is D1 with an estimated ship date of 11/05. Seeing how there are multiple others that have close to the same ship date but ordered 2-3 weeks before me, I'm not sure how accurate that is. 8 weeks would put me the week of my birthday in early December so I am hoping I can pick it up before then. Either way, it'll be a good birthday present.

Just Ordered a 2021 Max Tow Sport S in Sting Grey. Its pretty much fully loaded. Even added the 2021 only items on the Sport S like the 8.4" Screen, Led headlights, and SelecTrac. Dealer said 4-6 weeks. Coming from a 2010 Tacoma. Pretty pumped!
