New to Jeeps but not new to wrenching. Going to replace my stock diff covers. Do these use a gasket, or just sealer, or dry?
Thanks for your time,

Like others have said, reusable gasket. However if you mess the gasket up (tear it, etc) you can just use RTV silicone.

When you have your rear diff cover off, have a look at the locker sensor and remove it (super easy) and clean the magnet that it sits on. This magnet will have magnetic paste all over it and it needs to be clean in order for the locker to engage and disengage with ease.

I know you only have 1000 miles on it but search on here ā€œpotting locker sensorā€ and youā€™ll find lots on here from us and on the JL forum that have done this because itā€™s been a thing for sensors to allow oil inside which then shorts out the sensor (but you do have warranty).

You donā€™t have to do this but thereā€™s a good tutorial on the JL site showing pics on the sensor removal to get at the magnet. (Just that one screw on the side of the sensor). Then check it again down the road a bunch when you start to see the engagement/disengagement of the locker taking more time than normal (for me, my locker use to take 10 blinks of the locker indicator on the dash. I cleaned the magnet and now itā€™s done at the third blink)

Has anyone had clearance issues with the ARB cover and the rear sway bar. ARB says there is.
