Little confused with the K&N and Amazon info. K&N has a standard and premium oil filter for most models. My 2022 Glad only shows the standard filter, not the premium one. Is this a clerical over-site or should I just go with the standard filter? Plan B is the Wix?

I do not recommend using K&N filters. I also ride motorcycles at the track, and any time someone blows up and oils the next six turns, it's almost always a K&N oil filter that grenaded itself. It became such a problem that the trackday provider will no longer allow K&N filters through tech inspection.

I just use the OEM Mopar filters; plus they're cheap and easy to find locally

Like mentioned, get the MOPAR, WIX or some other standard brand oil filter. K&N priorities flow over filtration in their oil filters.

I’ve had several K&N filters in various vehicles. I have nothing bad to say about them, other than….. most folks don’t know how to ‘maintain’ them. I’ve heard so many people complaining they allow dirt past… The oil is what captures the dust. When the oil is ‘full’, it can’t capture anymore. I used to clean and re-oil them every 6 months. That was about 20 years ago.

in my last couple vehicles, I went with AFE Dryflo drop-in. Nothing special about them and doesn’t add any performance gains (that I’ve noticed). They are a washable filter that doesn’t use any oils. Just wash…dry…and put it back in.

I haven’t seen one for the JT….but I suck at searching!

I think you are confusing an oil filter with an oiled air filter.

Most of us probably know this already, but the Napa Gold filter is made by Wix.

Mopar, Wix, or Napa Gold is what I use.

Check out below results- time after time I get this sort of result. So, why in the !#$% would I use those filters sold on name alone when the stock filters do a great job?? I don't get the draw to the likes of K&N and so on.

Stock air filter (I keep things checked and make sure filter seals are in place properly), stock MOPAR oil filter, and, gasp, I hesitate to even say it - the recommenced oil.
"This sample looks great!" from the lab.
Why would I mess with such great results?

(Thanks for not talking about K&N air filters, otherwise I might have to post my test results graphs)

He is talking about oil filters not air. .
On the other hand the air filters do oass a lot of dirt. Also the oil collects in ait pathways and gunks up. FRIENDS DONT LET FRIENDS DO K& N

Shadowspapa, that's useful info from the MOPAR filter use!

When I was young...say, 50 years ago; Fram was choice. Then they began production in Guadalajara. Sorry, I try not to use filters of any sort made in Mexico. (Or China, for that matter) My perceived lack of quality control.

It gets harder to figure out who is making the filters and where.

I'll preface my remarks as follows: Never used K&N products in my JKUR and will not be using them in my JTM.
That said, I did install a K&N FIPK in my '03 Cobra that was equipped with factory Eaton supercharger mainly because it was twice as large as the stock filter. I cleaned them religiously. In fact, I had two filters so I always had a clean, oiled filter to replace the dirty one. I ran that car for 130,000+ miles and it never burned a drop of oil. The only practice I made a point of following was to get it up to operating temperature before going WOT which was every day to and from work (except when it rained). Gotta say I do miss the screaming whine of that blower at 6 grand.
But for a Jeep, waste of money and asking for trouble.
