Just curious, because a few months back there was a scandal with a CSX employee stealing key fobs at the rail terminal and selling them on eBay. He was discovered after some dealers started noticing a lot of cars showing up with only one fob. Some articles say 1000, others 2000 fobs.
Thanks I will make sure of the Two Fobs when I pick Up the Sgt. Major!

Everyone should get a DropStop. It's a flexible foam "tube" that fits between the seat and console. I saw it on Shark Tank and bought a set. Haven't dropped anything under the seat since.
Or just keep a couple rags there. That way you can use them in a pinch and not spend a bunch of money.

Ha. Title caught my eye. I guess the key fob REALLY wasn’t big enough for me Cause I bought one of these several months ago. Fob in one pocket. Knife in other. A-Poe iPhone for communication. SIG 365 in belt. It works well for me because I have no other keys. Everything else is keyless entry including garage and house.

Me Too moment: Fob slipped down beside driver seat, and under console. Seat removal day! I'll cover the gap between floor and console with duct tape - a detail that should be standard from the factory ;)

Any pointers on seat removal? Disconnect the battery first because of airbag sensors...does this cause any issues with electronics?

Or, is it possible to dis-assemble the console with seats in place? The truck is less than 2 weeks old ;)

Seats came out easy, tilted out of the way without disconnecting wires. Fob was completely invisible, under a couple wires (photo is after extraction). Inelegant (but I hope effective) fix, passenger side will have to wait;)

Hey everyone, today i joined the lost key fob under center console club. WTF? The most ridiculous thing i have experienced ever. i’m not a car savvy woman but i got it out with the help of this forum..thank you 🙏🏽.

i popped off the bolt covers, used a power tool to undo the front and rear bolts of the center console (they were very tight). it was night so we used a flashlight while my son lifted the console and my 5 year old stuck her little hand in there to retrieve the key.

yeesh, what a process. the question remains. why is there a hole under there????

to quote another user here: Fuck the console 😅.

Hope this helps, once i figured it out it took about 10-15 mins. 🤦🏽‍♀️
