After a chat with Crutchfield's sales/tech about my '25 Rubicon with a factory (i.e. non-Alpine) radio, I wound up ordering four Kicker speakers for dash & soundbar, along with the Kicker amp & the LC5i Pro & harnesses. The instructions for installing the LC5i Pro were quite clear, but after reading the 200.4 manual I found myself really at sea with how they integrate, or if the LC5i is really even necessary for ideal sound. In a subsequent call tech support told me it's possible to power the LC5i with a cable shared between amp & controller.

Anywhoo, I'm wondering if anyone else has made this particular upgrade, &, if so, where did they set the amp & controller & was it necessary to remove the head unit entirely in order to add the harnesses (vs. splicing the new wires in).

Already upgraded dash speakers to REF 307 with fiber fill (much better so far). Having this installed this week into my 25 Gladiator Rubicon X, with REF 6352 in knee and soundbar:
