Yes, I went through the same thing when i did my 25 gladiator and about to do the same with the wifes 26 wrangler with alpine factory system.

Half of the online sites said use this, don't use that etc.. So referred to PAC themselves.

Thanks for the heads up. I will see if I can swap these out right away.

I intend to unplug the factory sub , amp the fronts, run the Hs10 on its own amp, and the sound bar off factory
Looks like better sound if I amp the fronts L/R's together on CH 1 & 2, and the soundbar on CH 4 & 5. Sub is self powered HS10, factory sub unplugged. Any thoughts or input?

Are you guys removing the factory sub or just unplugging it? Seems like a waste to haul around an extra sub that is unplugged for no reason? Why not run both the HS10 and the factory sub if you're keeping it fully installed?

Stock is 8 inch, Hs10 is 10 inch so should be cleaner. Thinking using both would run out of phase and get muddy. And I can swap back later if I trade.

They shouldn't run out of phase fed from the same source, and smaller subs are usually cleaner/crisper where as larger subs are deeper/boomier in my experience. I haven't installed the nvx 8" sub yet, but I'm going to at least try it out with both before messing with the factory sub. Doesn't the HS10 have a phase switch on it anyway?
