I’m sure there are conversations about this, but I’m having trouble finding them if someone can point me in the right direction. I’m running a 34 x 10.5 x 17 and want to know peoples thoughts. I’ve run the KO2 for 3 sets. I want to know if anybody has good experience with both and would recommend the Toyo. For more context, I understand that the BF is better off roading but I’m curious about snow, ice, daily driving, towing and life

I've run KO2's on several of my rigs. And what little snow/ice we get in Tennessee, the KO'2s never let me down.

I had a Nissan Titan that came with the Toyo AT3s that I switched out for KO2s after about a year of use. They were about even for on-road use with the KO2s having an advantage off-road. The sidewalls of the KO2s are quite a bit stronger and very cut resistant. I now have KO2s on my JT, JL, and Superduty and wouldn't run anything else for normal use.

Same here. I have KO2s on 4 vehicles. Fantastic tire. Have never owned Open Roads but also have been so happy with the BFGs that I never really considered anything else.

As someone who lives where winter is a real thing and not just a morning or afternoon nuisance, I can say my Toyos have been great so far. A week ago we got a base layer of ice and then 8 inches of snow on top and I was impressed how well they did even at 50% tread. Our intersections are still 2 inches of ice and I get some spinning and pushing (as will any tire) but it's easy to get under control and manage. Obviously not as good as dedicated winters.

Daily driving they are quiet. I have 30k miles on mine and at 50% tread. Dry and off road they've been great. Never left me wishing for more while in Colorado or Utah. Utah was still wet from storms so the trails were soft and slimy but I never had any issues. I'm running D rated and tow ~2k lbs on some trips and have zero complaints.

I haven't had KO2s on the Gladi, but I've had them on Wranglers and they were by far the WORST worst tire I've owned for winter driving. They are awesome in the dry, great in the wet, horrid in the winter. I will never run them again.

Thanks everyone. After owning three sets of KO2 I’m going Toyo this time. I’ll let you know.

I'm sure you will enjoy the Toyos. Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT is said to be amazing all around including winter driving. Those will be my next tire. If I don't like them I'll come back to the Toyos.

I’ve ran both in NW Indiana, and IMHO, they both perform similarly and I liked them both equally. I don’t think you can go wrong with either choice, as long as you understand what they are, and what they aren’t.

I think you will be happy with the Toyos. I live near Buffalo, NY and we have gotten hit with snow several times already. No issues or slipping in snow or ice and I have also not had any issue off road with them. I am running the 35x11.50x17s on stock Rubicon wheels.

KO2s are great here in the southwest if you can balance them.My last set wouldn't balance so I ditched them with a 400 dollar credit at discount tire.Other wise they were ok.If you need a performer in the snow Id listen the the guys and gals up in the snow country.
