Hi everyone. I know this is a weird and probably stupid question but does anyone let their dog ride on the passenger front Floorboard of their Gladiator? I have a large and pretty tall dog and I am hoping she will be able to sit on the Floorboard and see out the passenger window. Has anyone else done this. I know the dealer won't let me go and put my dog in the front to see how she would fit. Thanks!

Not a chance. I have two boxers, no way they could sit up front on the floor board, very little space.

If your dog is tall enough to sit on the floor and see out the window, there’s not enough room for them.

I used to have a Nissan Frontier and she was able to sit on the Floorboard of that and look out. She doesn't stand on all fours just sits and looks out.

With Covid now a lot of dealers are letting you take test drives alone. It might be worth it to take a test drive and swing by the house if you are close enough or have someone staged close with your dog to see if she fits.

95% of the time we take one of the SUVs and they go in the back, For the Jeep I do have a backseat hammock that hooks to both the front and rear seat head rests. It really helps so they don’t fall from the seat to the floorboard.

That's a good idea. Thanks!

Yeah I'm thinking I could do that as well. Any pictures of the dogs in the back?

Backseat hammock is the move

Great picture. Thanks for posting. Do you find they have trouble standing and not falling down while you are driving around? Are they able to keep their balance well?

The hammock is pretty grippy but he usually lays down once I start moving. If he's standing during hard accell or brake, he'll definitely fall over, but not into the floor board at least! In my opinion the hammock is probably the most secure way to transport a dog and keep them contained. Even better with a seat belt tether probably. This one also has a mesh panel on the front so that the HVAC can blow through.

Sorry I don’t have any on my phone, but looks just like intervertedlogics! Def the best option I think out there.
