Ok been doing some reading on both and I see both have their goods and bads.

1st. I was curious if I could get input from anyone who has either had had any issues with them.

For Z Automotive, I like how it installs and the fact it has a serviceable power distribution block with fuses.

What I don't like about it is from what I can tell, you have to have a tazer to even use the thing and in terms of cost it is much higher considering everything you have to buy. Tazer, aux kit, the OEM aux buttons. Crap that's a lot of upfront cost.

Another thing, if you unplug the tazer does it still work? Not sure about that one as I've read people say it can be glitchy.

Lasfit, this kit is like a one and done. Includes everything needed. Don't have to go in to the computer and program anything. Installation seems straightforward. Switches look OEM minus the numbering.

What I see as an issue with this one is the distribution block seems sealed and none serviceable. Does this even have fuses? Seems like if it goes the whole thing goes. Also not a fan of how the wiring just hangs out of it. The Z Automotive one has everything nice and tucked in.

My only quip is I am thinking of disabling a.s.s and may want other features to but the jscan is so much cheaper then the tazer. But if I went the tazer route it would be a no brainer to go that aux route.

I'm just split between the 2 and if anyone has used them for a while had any issues that would warrant steering away from either.

The Z Automotive appears to work without the Tazer, just with less features. Hard to tell - their website kinda sucks. That being said $350 for the box alone is wild considering they are literally using the same Chinese relay board everyone is using for double the cost (except everyone else is giving you a nice illuminated switch panel to go with it for half as much).

I installed an Auxbeam kit in a friends car trailer - uses the exact same box, but with their own switch panel that is backlit and programmable for less than $150. Sure, the switch panel isn't OEM OEM and you have to find a place to mount it, but after having had the factory aux switches for three years now - I am not a fan of the location down low hidden behind the shifter.

The Lasfit has serviceable relays and fuses, just unscrew the cover on the relay box.

Yea, the wire tail is 'messier' but the Lasfit box is smaller and more compact. The box that comes with the Z Automotive is larger - about the size of a paperback novel.

I bought and installed the Lasfit a month or so ago. I haven't hooked anything up to it yet but I'm going to be putting my GMRS radio on it in the next week or so. It was easy to install, it just took a little while because I was taking my time. It seems really well made and I would not hesitate to recommend it or even buy it again if I had to. Once I decide on some lighting upgrades I'll hook those into it, too.

You dont have to have the Tazer. You just need to turn on the Aux switches in the trucks computer which can be done with JSCAN. Just like if you added the OEM Aux switches. Check the install videos on Youtube for the Automotive Aux switch kit.

Quote me if I’m wrong AUX switches can run a winch only as a control circuit, not directly powering the winch motor.
Use AUX to control the winch relay/solenoid, while the winch stays connected to the battery.
I got the LASFIT aux switches installed as a collab when they dropped them for try-out. Honestly, they’re built solid, feel OEM, and the fit in the factory spot on my diesel Gladiator no issues yet

The LASFIT switch bank features a waterproof relay and fuse box, each with 4 x 30 A fuses and matching relays. It’s rated for a total output of 800 W at 12 V.

I don't have the switches, but I've got multiple other Lasfit products. I've found their stuff to be good quality, often with features if the "best" competition well below their cost. I've also had excellent customer service from them.

Lasfit for me all the way. I have one and LOVE it. Been using it for close to 2 years. Not the first issue and looks stock. I can turn my lockers on at will any time I want, front or rear, 2wd or 4wd. It doesn't care about the problematic sensors. The aux switches work great too. I have my winch solenoid, a front camera, and gmrs radio connected so far. It is a very well built and robust product and its water tight with rubber gaskets on the relay boxes. The pig tails are wrapped in black automotive cloth type tape and super easy to tuck out of the way. They are very well labeled and easy to connect. In case you can't tell, I'm happy with the one I have.

I've had the lasfit switches for 2.5yrs. There are relays and fuses inside the box. The box is sealed, you just have to unscrew the cover. I have two switches for the lockers and one switch for the rear lights. Looks factory and works.

Yep. That is the best option. you could just install a relay.

One other nice feature of the Lasfit is it has a pass through for a gmrs radio. You can install your gmrs in a hidden location and it connects to the back of the Lasfit console. Then you just plug the mic in when needed or stow it away when not in use. I have my gmrs antenna cable routed up through the passenger side A-pillar and leave the antenna laid on its side right behind the upper weather strip for the freedom panel. I dont use that radio much but have never had a reception issue with it laid over. It's easy enough to stand up on the mag base if needed though.

Aux switches for winch, only as a controller. The factory switches are 2x 15 amp and 2x 30 amp. You really want to run your winch directly to the battery, I have mine with a cutoff knob under the hood. I've got my gmrs tapped off the acc line for the smoker accessory, which has since been replaced with the OEM brake controller. Gmrs head unit is stuck on the driver side console down by my calf, remote mic is fished through the console and out the passenger side so the mic can hang or sit by the grab bar.
