Bright white LE rolled off the truck this morning and walked out with the keys this evening. Several significant differences I noticed so far from trading in my manual JK.
1. Much smoother ride.
2. Much quieter ride.
3. It appears to wander more.
4. It was reporting 28-35 mpg on the 55 mph road home and about 24 mpg doing 70 on the short freeway trip so we will see how that holds up. (I am and always have been a feather foot and borderline hypermiler and would routinely get 22mpg highway and 25-28 mpg on the side streets around where I live all confirmed by the pump)
5. The microphone for calls is absolute trash compared to the JK. People said every time I talked it sounded like it was intentionally adding wind noise.
6. Though only a 1 inch tire difference, this truck looks like it sits a lot higher than the JK did.
7. The hood doesnt rattle at highway speeds like the JK does.
8. Dont know if the dealer threw it in for free (need to look at window sticker) but all tires have locking lugs to prevent theft.
So far I am impressed how different the vehicle is from JKs and even from the limited JL experience I have.

Might be a rash judgement after just one day. I don't seem to have that problem, at least never heard that complaint over the last three weeks and plenty of calls.

So for comparison sake, 2 weeks ago I had a phone call with the same people on the same stretch of highway in my JK. The top was off and all the windows were down and they had no issue hearing me at 70 mph. Last night I had the windows up and fan off and they kept saying "what? I cant hear you." And eventually they said they thought I was on my motorcycle.

I have opposite experience I had my windows down at about 40mph. On call with work bud and his feedback was I'd be able to take my conference calls from the vehicle and all would think I was at my desk. I've had my LE for two weeks now and not one complaint about the vehicle handsfree which I use consitantly. Handsfree is big for me so to this point the feature has been rock solid.

First fill up today. 284 miles and 13.3 gal at the pump. Was a mix of freeway driving at 70 mph, side roads at 55-65, a few miles off road with sub 20 mph, and city driving 25-35 with some traffic in Reno. A good chunk of the 55-65 was also done with 400-750lbs of lumber in the bed. So I am quite impressed. Though, jeeps claim that it can sense load is crap. With 750 lbs of lumber is was constantly hunting between 7th and 8th and I put it in M8 and it had no issues maintaining speed.
The microphone issue appears to ONLY be with bluetooth, every call I made using android auto(USB cable) the people on the other end had no issues hearing me.
So far no issues with me for the forward fenders being eaten up but I also have the key fob issue where it isnt fully sealed.
The cruise control is extremely aggressive. I'd you change speeds by more than 5 mph using the cruise controls it almost floors the engine or heavily engaged the brakes. I am not a big fan of this cruise control compared to my JKs.

I also learned you can permanently disable the auto start stop by just turning the climate control on. Putting the fan speed on 1 and having the temp slightly different than what outdoor temp reads disabled the ECC and states it is unavailable due to cabin heating or cooling.

My understanding is that is only temporary. Once the battery is fully charged it will begin to work again.

Well I was noticing it after getting off the freeway that the engine was turning off sitting in the off ramp and cycled through the pages. I didnt look at battery voltage but I would be surprised if the battery wasnt fully charged after having been on the freeway for 20 minutes with non stop driving. I know the jeep compass would do what you described but my gladiator isnt doing that.

Interesting. Not sure what the point of ESS would even be if it won't work with the AC/Heat on.

Why would I sell it? Not every vehicle is perfect the wandering doesnt bother me, but I know it would bother some.

LOL, it satisfies nanny state big Government and adds cost to your new Jeep, exactly what it was ever meant to do.
