Mine was really low, I didnt notice it until I saw it splattered on the shock. I was walking around it and just noticed on accident. Glad I did before the rear gears exploded
I've kind of been expecting it. So I've been on the lookout. I don't know why, I just had a feeling I'd get lucky.

I didnt even know it was a issue until I found mine then searched on here. Now it's been fixed twice and it's leaking for a third time. Now they are going to replace the housing. I hope this finally fixes it

Can you confirm one more thing. Sorry didn't occur to me when I first asked. There is another sticker in that door frame that has the month and year only. Kinda odd that yours was made in 9th month as mine was made in 9th month of 2020 and it's a 2021. But I will say the 2022s delivered late.

Yep no worries. It indicates 9-21

2021 sport Ecodiesel. I found mine leaking when I rotated my tires at around 4500 miles. Already had it replaced under warranty but didn’t realize it was a common issue. This is fun!

Parts came in a few weeks ago and dealer was able to replace axel in a day, unfortunately it’s leaking again! What a mess this has been. Now parts on order again and again fluid has made it to the brake pads or maybe the pads were never replaced. Either way going with a different dealer now. Also Jeep is making a fuss on the reimbursement for the rental, now saying since it only took one day to replace the part then only one day of rental is applicable, disregarding the whole safety issue with fluids in the pad. Super disappointed in how this whole thing has gone down.
Back again, the 2nd axel also leaked! Have another appointment for Monday to have them check and probably order the 3rd one. On top of this the original rental that Jeep had approved during the 1st debacle has also become a nightmare and they are now refusing to reimburse it after it was determined it was unsafe to drive the car. Think at this point we are probably close to declare it a lemon? Will have to look into that and possibly get legal advise, such a shame

Try getting your dealer to replace the entire rear housing before giving up. It has resolved the issue for a couple of us (at least so far it's holding up much longer than the right axle replacements did).

I had mine leaking for about 2 months before the part could arrive and be installed. Now I've got the insides of 2 of my wheels covered in dirty dried gear oil. What's the best way to clean it off without damaging the stock black wheel finish? WD-40, dish soap or a light degreaser?

Starting to expect the same wait time to get my axle leak fixed.

IMO, id use dawn dish soap to get rid of all the oil on the wheel(s). If it were me, I might consider taking it a step further and clay bar the wheel, apply some wax, then ceramic coat afterwards. It makes it much easier to clean in the future.

Simple green. Dawn works too but simple green is safe and cheap and cuts grease off my shop benches and floor
