An update on mine, I am sitting at 6 weeks of my Glad sitting at the dealer service center (apparently mine was leaking a bit more than others and was deemed unsafe for driving) and now have been told there is no ETA on my replacement axle. I am also about to make my 2nd payment since my truck has been in the shop and I have not been able to drive it. It's starting to feel like I made a mistake by getting a Gladiator. Don't get me wrong, I love the thing but this has started to get a bit out of hand.

And before anyone comes in here and says "the whole country is on backorder", understand that I work in distribution and see raw material backorders all the time. That argument is null and void when you know people who took their Gladiators in for the rear seal after I did, and they have their trucks back with the new axles installed. Kind of getting the raw end of the stick it seems.
Contact Customer Service and see if they'll help you with payment assistance. I'm not saying they will, but they might. I was able to get payment assistance from them when my JLU was in the shop for 3 weeks by being very polite with them over the phone.

I would start the lemon process if I were you.

An update on mine. I just crawled under and looked. 6k miles after repair, including a 1500 mile road trip to pick up a pop-up camper, mine appears to NOT be leaking.

After the initial repair it did seep residual fluid for quite a while. I blasted it with parts cleaner a few times and wiped it down. It seems good now.

ETA: I'm surprised this thread has grown such legs. I always figured DANA made good stuff.

I'm about to be at that point. I have reached back out to Jeep Customer Service to see where we stand on part expediting.

I would check your states Lemon Law program. I’m sending my certified letter out today that they have 10 more days,I will probably wait a little extra but I need my truck for work too.

Have you contacted Jeep Cares? As soon as I did they magically found one and the dealer had it 2 days later. No screaming. Just expressed my disappointment in the delay and the fact I saw others getting axles before mine. Sometimes going nuclear doesn’t get resolution.
I was kind of shocked by Jeep Cares communication. They called me 2x the first week checking on things and then after repair to ensure it was done right. Good luck getting yours taken care of. I agree super frustrating.

They took great care of me when I had a floppy saggy tonneau cover. All I had to do was pass my dealer's shop the phone number to call, etc. and suddenly, they were interested in fixing it.

I have contacted Jeep Cares and have spoken to them twice now and after 4 days of my first call they finally got back to me yesterday. As of yesterday, the new tentative date on my axle is 9/29, and who knows if that date will stick. We will see what kind of issues arise before then regarding the ETA given. I'm positive something will come up and it will get pushed again. I am losing hope and confidence with Jeep at this moment.

That's what I've been trying to find out with folks posting their MDH#.

Earliest in thread with leak is 9-30-2020, latest is 5-26-2021.

I really think they made their way through the bad seals. I haven't heard of any of the newer ones having the issue. Mine was 3-9-2021 if I remember correctly. I would have to double check once I get it back from the service center.

Glad I saw this thread. For what it's worth, I was heading in for my 1st oil change and checked out my axle/wheel area beforehand and discovered a leak. Long story short, dealer confirmed it is leaking and have ordered a complete new rear axle (which is backordered) no ETA on delivery but they did add more fluid. My build date on my Overland is 4-21.
